n made smart Youth Kavon Frazier Jersey , decisive throws at key moments. A defense led by Bobby Wagner and an unhappy Earl Thomas forced turnovers, making Dak Prescott and Dallas look meager trying to move the ball. The Seattle Seahawks returned to a familiar, old formula to avoid a dreaded 0-3 start, beating the Cowboys 24-13 on Sunday."This is how we want to play. We couldn't be any more specific about it," Seattle coach Pete Carroll said.Wilson threw two touchdown passes in the first half, Carson added a 5-yard TD run in early in the fourth quarter and the Seahawks won their 10th straight home opener. Wilson hit Jaron Brown on an 16-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, and later hit Tyler Lockett streaking up the sideline on a 52-yard scoring pass, and Seattle (1-2) built a 17-3 halftime lead and cruised past the Cowboys. The duo of Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott didn't have the answers against a Seattle defense that had Thomas on the field and welcomed back Wagner after the Seahawks' defensive leader missed Week 2 with a groin injury.Prescott was intercepted twice by Thomas , including with 3:09 remaining at the Seattle 15 on a deflected pass, with Thomas bowing to the Dallas sideline at the end of the play. It was Thomas' way of acknowledging the Cowboys should have done more by now to try to acquire him from the Seahawks after the former All-Pro made it clear he wanted out of Seattle if a contract extension wasn't coming."I felt like that was just in the moment and if they were going to trade for me and extend me, they should have did it," Thomas said of his bow that drew a 15-yard penalty.Prescott was sacked five times and Dallas (1-2) had just 58 net yards passing entering the fourth quarter. Elliott had momentary flashes, busting off a few long runs, but they were too infrequent for Dallas' stagnant offense.Thomas' second interception was one of two turnovers forced by Seattle in the fourth quarter. Elliott broke free for a 26-yard run to the Seattle 19 earlier in the quarter, but had the ball punched free from behind by Bradley McDougald and recovered by the Seahawks."When you've got that ball in your hand, that's the team in our hand," Elliott said. "Me being a leader on the team, I've got to do a better job of taking care of the ball. I mean, that cost us the game."Prescott finished 19 of 34 for 168 yards and a 3-yard shovel pass TD to Tavon Austin with 7:11 remaining. Dallas failed to pass for 200 yards for the ninth time in the past 11 games dating to last season. Elliott had 127 yards on 16 carries."We've got to find exactly our go-to in the passing game — and not necessarily am I speaking on a player," Prescott said. "I'm just speaking on our go-to concepts or go-to beaters or whatever it may be that we didn't get to."Meanwhile, Wilson had the kind of protection that's been absent most of the season. After being sacked 12 times in the first two games, Wilson was 16 of 26 for 192 yards and sacked twice by Dallas' defense that was second in the league in sacks. Despite missing starting center Justin Britt, the offensive line gave Wilson enough time for a few big plays in the passing game.Wilson's strike to Brown gave Seattle a 7-0 lead and he took advantage of the absence of safety Jeff Heath when he found Lockett on a 52-yard TD late in the second quarter. Heath departed with a left ankle injury earlier in the drive and Wilson found Lockett streaking up the sideline. Heath's replacement, Kavon Frazier, was late to rotate over and Lockett went untouched, high-stepping the final few yards for a 14-3 lead.Carson's TD run was the first by a Seahawks running back since J.D. McKissic found the end zone on a 31-yard run in Week 4 of the 2017 season. Seattle went 14 games without a running back finding the end zone until Carson bulled his way in with 12:54 remaining.Carson finished with 102 yards, the first Seattle running back to top 100 yards since late in the 2016 season."This is the offense we claimed to be the whole offseason," Carson said.THOMAS DRAMAFollowing a week of drama surrounding Thomas, the former All-Pro safety started and almost immediately made his presence known. Thomas missed two days of practice for personal reasons which Carroll provided only vague answers as to why, and left open the possibility Thomas wouldn't play.He was on the field as usual http://www.cowboysauthorizedshops.com/authentic-anthony-brown-jersey , and it took less than a quarter before Thomas was making a remarkable interception, pinning a deflected pass against his shin. It was the second two-interception game of his career and the first since his rookie season in 2010.FREE POINTSSeattle was gifted three points at the end of the half when Randy Gregory was baited into a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, smacking Seattle's Joey Hunt in the facemask. The penalty put Seattle in range for Sebastian Janikowski's 47-yard field goal and a 17-3 lead at the half.INJURIESDallas also played a large portion of the second half without linebacker Sean Lee due to a hamstring injury. Lee said it was the same issue that had him listed as questionable on the injury report."It feels like the same deal, but I have to get (evaluated) and see where I'm at," Lee said.UP NEXTCowboys: returns home to host Detroit next Sunday.Seahawks: at division rival Arizona next Sunday. What is the most important position on any NFL team? It’s not a trick question, and if your automatic answer was “the quarterback”, you are correct. It has always been true, and as the league has evolved to be more centered on the passing game with rules tilting the table strongly toward the offense, it has just become more so. If a team doesn’t have a franchise quarterback, it is nearly impossible for them to be competitive, no matter how good their running game or their defense. Get that settled, especially with a young and talented QB, and you are set to at least be relevant for years to come. This is certainly true for the Dallas Cowboys and their division rivals in the NFC East. Here is a bit of analysis on where the four teams stand in terms of their starting QB in the early stages of the offseason. (In reverse alphabetical order, just so we can look at Dallas last.)WashingtonThey are in the worst shape at the moment, with Alex Smith recovering from a gruesome leg injury suffered last November. That effectively derailed any chances they had of competing for the division title. And now, there are reports that the team is not planning on having him back at all for the coming season. While team president Bruce Allen subsequently denied that report, there is no timeline for Smith’s recovery, which was complicated by an infection after his first surgery, requiring a follow-up procedure to correct things. That just further pushed back his return to the field. It is not even certain that he will recover enough to ever play again. Assuming he does, there is still a chance that his mobility will be limited. That has always been a tool for Smith. Even if his leg heals fully, he is 34, and as the years creep along, rebounding from injury just gets harder. He serves as a cautionary tale about giving long contracts with high guarantees to players who are over 30. While the quarterback market dictates yearly salaries in the mid-$20 million range for starters, his $55 million in guaranteed money (on a total $94 million, five-year deal) has put the team in a bind.Meanwhile, Washington is pretty much stuck with his contract. At the minimum, it would cost them over $20 million in dead cap money to release him. Based on the way the season ended for the team, there is no ready answer already on the roster if they need to fill in for him for part or all of the season. They hold the 15th pick in a draft that is seen to have a weak QB class, which could mean that getting to a good option there will require the cost of trading up. And that cap hit makes going on the free agent market problematical.Overall situation: Washington is pretty much screwed for a couple of years. Which means, the song remains the same for them.Philadelphia EaglesWhile Washington is facing the prospect of not having a starting-level QB for at least this season http://www.thecowboysfootballauthentic.com/chris-jones-jersey-authentic , the Eagles have a very different problem. They have a franchise quarterback and a Super Bowl MVP. The problem is they are not the same player. The team invested a ton of draft capital in getting Carson Wentz in 2016. When healthy, he has been, at times, the kind of player you want leading your offense. Those two qualifiers are the problem.Wentz has now missed significant time the past two seasons. He was out for the final three games of 2017 and the championship run after suffering an ACL injury. And he went out again in 2018, this time for the last five games and his team’s subsequent postseason appearance. Two years ago, he looked every bit the part of a franchise QB, with the team having an 11-2 record before he was hurt. But last year was much less successful, with the team only posting a 5-6 tally during his time on the field. It raises the unavoidable question of whether he was rushed back. The answer is almost certainly yes.And there was no reason to. Nick Foles, that Super Bowl MVP, was available. He had literally been the savior of the season the previous year, and in hindsight should have been the starter from the beginning to give Wentz the chance to get fully back to form. But, perhaps looking at what had happened with a certain QB named Tony Romo the previous year, the decision was made to go with the long-term plan rather than the then 29-year-old veteran whose contract was up in 2021, and who came with very little dead money penalty if they decided to cut him.But not only did Wentz go down to injury after a disappointing start to the season, Foles came to the rescue again, leading the Eagles back to the playoffs as a wild card and a win in the opening round. Foles had renegotiated his deal last season, and this year was now an option year for the team, but with an escape clause for Foles if he repaid a $2 million signing bonus. He has announced he is planning on doing just that to go into free agency, perhaps to find a team that will commit to him for four or five years. That leaves Philly with a hard decision. They can let him go and roll with Wentz and hope the injury issues do not reoccur. Or they can use the franchise tag on Foles, with the reported intent to trade him. It does seem that they don’t really hope to have him around to salvage things for them again. The idea of committing to your long-term franchise QB is certainly understandable. But with injuries and the shaky start last year, Wentz looks a lot more risky than he once did.As the linked article reports, there are some who believe one team that would be very interested in Foles is their division rival, the Giants. And they have their own very interesting situation.Overall situation: It all depends on Wentz returning to the form of 2017, pre-injury. Last year casts at least some doubt on that.New York GiantsThe plan is that Eli Manning will be back to start his 47th consecutive season (roughly) for the Giants. Given that he was the quarterback that led them on the charge to the sixth overall pick in the draft this year, that is not exactly bad news for the rest of the NFC East. There are Eli fans who will demur, but he has always been a mostly competent quarterback who has occasional very good streaks. A couple of those coincided with some timely defensive play to get the Giants a pair of Super Bowl rings. However, most seasons he is nothing special. Now he is 38, and has none of Tom Brady’s age-defying traits. That is one reason the idea of the Giants having an interest in Foles makes sense. Foles, at 30, could come in and give the team some years of good QB play - likely much better than the lead-footed Manning has the past couple of years. This is the last year of Manning’s contract and he could be cut for a net cap savings of over $10 million. Or they could keep both on board Womens Terrance Williams Jersey , although that would be a delicate situation determining who was the starter.Failing finding a successor to Manning in free agency (Teddy Bridgewater could be an option as well, and perhaps more likely to be willing to start out on the bench than Foles), the Giants are expected to look for one in the draft. But it is seen as a weak class, as mentioned earlier. New York has not taken the opportunity to find a potential replacement for Manning in years past. They finally are admitting they are running out of time. The problem is that a solution to this issue may not be all that readily available.Overall situation: Looks like another year of Eli gonna Eli. For them, that is hardly a good thing.Dallas CowboysThe franchise quarterback is Rayne Dakota Prescott. Period. He had a phenomenal rookie season, then after a rough series of games started by the beating he took against the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, he rebounded last fall to lead his team on the impressive 7-1 run to win the division and lead the team to their first playoff win with him.Further, the team has just doubled down on him with the dismissal of Scott Linehan and his conservative, predictable ways. To replace him, they promoted former QB coach Kellen Moore, who has long had Dak as a supporter (he was reported to have lobbied hard for Moore to get the QB coaching job). And they brought in Jon Kitna to help Prescott work on his footwork and mechanics. It is a clear situation in Dallas, with owner/GM Jerry Jones stating his support of his starter. Prescott is hardly the perfect starting QB, but he has undeniable strengths and his weaknesses appear to be things that can be corrected to a significant degree. He certainly has shown the work ethic needed. Now with some fresh thinking from the young OC, he may be set to take the next step. And for another season, he is one of the greatest bargains at starting QB in NFL history, even considering the pay raise he is getting this year due to the CBA rules. He is still making a pittance compared to what other starting QBs take in. He is going to get paid before 2020, though. The Jones family may elect to wait until they see what he does with the team this year before opening any negotiations - or they may decide to see what he will agree to before then in hopes of some savings over what he would cost if the team has a deep playoff run this season. In any case, the Cowboys are set at QB for the foreseeable future. The indications are that his ceiling is still quite a bit above him. This is in contrast to their three division rivals, all of whom have some real questions to answer at the position. The Eagles at least have some hope that their original plan with Wentz will work out, but handling Foles is going to take some work. Meanwhile, Washington has a real problem for this season, and the Giants are banking on one more year out of a QB whose best days are behind him, and weren’t that great to begin with, despite those championships.Overall situation: Advantage, plainly, Dallas. s Angeles Rams who already have four wins there (three at home Authentic Ndamukong Suh Jersey , one on the road). This week is the end of the rounds as the Rams will officially have played every divisional rival as the San Francisco 49ers are the opponent in week seven.Let’s take a look at the matchups to watch:CB Marcus Peters vs WR Marquise GoodwinAfter suffering an injury that looked much worse than it turned out to be, Peters toughed it out and started in the consecutive three weeks following. Two weren’t so good obviously, but the most recent versus the Denver Broncos was much better. And it comes on good timing because the Rams CB’s will play against one of the most dangerous deep threats in the league in Goodwin. On MNF versus the Green Bay Packers, Goodwin registered four receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns. The Rams cornerbacks will need to make sure they keep everything in front as Goodwin has legitimate track speed.ILB’s Mark Barron/Cory Littleton vs TE George KittleThe explosiveness for the 49ers’ offense doesn’t end with Goodwin as George Kittle is a dangerous tight end. He’s already racked up 27 receptions for 429 yards and a touchdown. Luckily for the Rams, they have a ton of team speed and coverage ability in their linebacker group. In week 17 last year, Littleton struggled in coverage versus Kittle though he looks to be improved this season. Also, Mark Barron is one of the better (best?) coverage linebackers in the league as his skills transferred well as a converted safety.DT Aaron Donald vs QB C.J. BeathardIs it time for Aaron Donald’s first three-sack game of the season? I think and hope it will be. After starting the first three weeks without any sacks (well, one that was called back on penalty) AD has hit his stride with four sacks in his last three weeks. This week he gets a quarterback who loves to hold the ball and can generally struggle to make decisions. If Donald can work his magic like he usually does, I could absolutely see him wreaking havoc on Beathard all day long.Rams ILB’s vs FB Kyle JuszczykYou might be thinking “Huh?” here, but seriously, I listed a fullback. The 49ers run more 21 personnel than any other team in the league making Juszczyk a focal point in the run game. He only has one carry for 12 yards, but he does have 17 receptions for 227 yards and a touchdown. Not only that, but he’s a tremendous blocker with a ton of speed, power, and football IQ. The Rams’ linebackers need to stay on their p’s and q’s with Juszczyk as he can be a sneaky dangerous weapon. Not only that, but they need to be aggressive taking on his blocks and making plays in the backfield.OG’s Rodger Saffold/Austin Blythe vs DT DeForest BucknerRodger Saffold sustained an injury against the Denver Broncos which knocked him out of the game and caused Blythe to slide over to LG, but he’s expected to return and play Sunday. That’s a good thing for the Rams because Saffold and Blythe are probably the best guard duo in the league right now, and DeForest Buckner is a superb interior defender who already has 4.5 sacks on the season.WR Robert Woods vs CB Richard ShermanAccording to Pro Football Focus, Richard Sherman leads the league with an average of 0.14 yards per snap allowed in coverage. Somehow Sherman is still playing well, which means whoever of the Rams’ WR’s lines up on him will have their hands full. The Rams leader in receptions and yards right now is Robert Woods Youth Robert Woods Jersey , so I presume he’ll probably draw Sherman majority of the time. Woods himself is a tremendous player who seems to grow and expand every week. This battle is going to be one of two heavyweights, though I look for Woods to threaten Sherman with his lack of speed. The last time the Saints and Vikings hooked up, folks in Minnesota were toasting Stefon Diggs with steins of Surly, and people in Louisiana were crying in their gumbo. They get together again in prime time, a nice treat to finish off a Sunday with several intriguing matchups.New Orleans sure hopes there's no second Minneapolis Miracle."This is not a revenge game," Drew Brees insists, referring to the playoff loss in January. "It's a different season. These are new teams, even though there's a lot of similar personnel. It's a new season, new team, new mindset. So listen, it's a very good opponent that we are playing on 'Sunday Night Football' at their place. It is a tough environment (and) a tough place to play. We understand we're going to need our best game, our best execution to win."The Saints (5-1) have been doing a lot of winning since they were upset by Tampa Bay in their opener. Last week they won against a playoff-caliber team at Baltimore. Now they get the Vikings (4-2-1), who have been spotty but lead the NFC North and are 14-3 at home vs. New Orleans. The Vikings might feel equipped enough to get into a shootout with Brees, but when you listen to their coach, Mike Zimmer, who has a defensive background, he knows his side will be tested. It's uncertain if the Vikings will have end Everson Griffen available as he returns from dealing with mental issues that sidelined him for almost six weeks."I think as the game goes on, Brees gets a much better feel of what the defense is trying to do throughout the course of the ballgame with him," Zimmer says."A guy like him who has seen everything — he sees everything anyway — but he's seen so many different looks that he can kind of decipher things quickly on the move. I think that's part of it, and he's got good players http://www.authenticslosangelesrams.com/cheap-michael-brockers-jersey , too. Michael Thomas is good, (Alvin) Kamara is good, (Mike) Ingram is good. They have a lot of good players."The weekend began Thursday night with Houston's 42-23 home victory over the Miami Dolphins. Deshaun Watson matched his career high with five touchdown passes to lead the Texans to their fifth straight victory after opening 0-3. Miami has lost two straight to drop to 4-4.Off are Dallas (3-4), Tennessee (3-4), Atlanta (3-4) and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-2).Green Bay (3-2-1) at Los Angeles Rams (7-0)Talk about shootouts, this has the makings of one.Green Bay comes off a bye, which means Aaron Rodgers is healthier and could have more targets to connect with. Still, the Packers rank fourth in passing and A-Rod has 332.8 yards passing per game and 12 touchdowns, one pick. But the Packers opened as the biggest underdog of his career. That's because the NFL's only unbeaten team has been unstoppable with the ball and pretty stingy without it.Oh yeah, the Packers don't cover particularly well in the secondary.Running back Todd Gurley leads the NFL with 88 points, 686 yards rushing, 144 carries and 956 yards from scrimmage. DE Aaron Donald co-leads with eight sacks, comes off four sacks, six tackles for loss against San Francisco.Denver (3-4) at Kansas City (6-1)The Chiefs have won six in a row in this series and, like the Rams, have a dynamic, versatile offense. But they also rank last in yardage allowed on defense, so Denver might not be totally overmatched.Chiefs coach Andy Reid won his 200th game last week vs. Cincinnati. Reid would tie Dan Reeves for eighth in NFL history with another victory. To get it, he will rely on second-year QB Patrick Mahomes, who leads the NFL in TD passes (22) and 25-yard-plus completions (26). He has a franchise-record six consecutive 300-yard passing games.Baltimore (4-3) at Carolina (4-2)Carolina exhibited its resilience and staying power by rallying from 17 points down in the fourth quarter at Philadelphia last week. It was the largest comeback in franchise history White Andrew Whitworth Jersey , and now the Panthers are home, where they've won eight straight. The challenge is huge against Baltimore, which fell at home by one point to New Orleans when Justin Tucker — only the league's career kicking leader — missed an extra point for the first time. That final-seconds miscue shouldn't camouflage that the Ravens lead the league in defense. Baltimore has allowed 101 points, lowest total through seven games since coach John Harbaugh took over in 2008. The Ravens have allowed the fewest yards (280.6 per game) and fewest points (14.4).Seattle (3-3) at Detroit (3-3)Two teams that started ugly and have begun to look a lot more attractive.Seattle has gone physical with the run game and on defense and, despite being in retooling mode, seems ready to challenge for a wild-card playoff berth. Pete Carroll's bunch protects the ball, too, with only six giveaways. The Seahawks are playing for the first time since the death of owner Paul Allen.Detroit seems to have discovered a running game: Rookie Kerryon Johnson ran for a career-high 158 yards at Miami last week. But Seattle's D is stingy on the ground.Philadelphia (3-4) vs. Jacksonville (3-4) at LondonTwo teams beginning to look ugly, particularly the Jaguars, who had locker-room discord after last week's loss to Houston that included QB Blake Bortles getting benched. Coach Doug Marrone is sticking with Bortles for now and there was a players-only meeting Monday in hopes of clearing the air. This is the sixth straight year Jacksonville is playing a home game in London.Following their collapse against Carolina, the Eagles probably welcomed getting far out of town. It's their first trip to London for a game. The Eagles lead the NFL in time of possession, averaging more than 33 minutes. But with Jacksonville's secondary undermanned, Carson Wentz could look to the air. He has thrown 173 consecutive passes without an interception.New England (5-2) at Buffalo (2-5), Monday nightESPN must have liked the idea of the Bills, coming off their first playoff berth since before ESPN was created — well, not quite — against Tom Brady and the Patriots.Instead, this could be a classic rout. Consider these numbers:—The Patriots are 31-4 in the past 35 meetings.—Brady holds the NFL career wins record by a quarterback against one opponent with a 28-3 record.—New England is 7-0 in night games against the Bills.—The Patriots have scored 21 or more points in the first half in each of the past four games this season to match a franchise-best streak, and the Bills have allowed 24 or more points in the first half three times.Cleveland (2-4-1) at Pittsburgh (3-2-1)Another lopsided rivalry, though this game has some cachet because the Browns tend to play the Steelers tough before losing. They tied to open the season. The Steelers come off a bye. They have won the past 14 meetings at Heinz Field; Cleveland's last victory in Pittsburgh came in October 2003. Plus, the Browns have lost 24 straight road games White Brandin Cooks Jersey , two shy of the NFL record owned by the Lions (2007-10). And the Browns are 6-32-1 overall against Pittsburgh since 1999, when Cleveland re-entered the NFL.The Browns lead the NFL with 20 takeaways, but they have scored only 31 points off those turnovers.Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger is 22-2-1 all-time against the Browns and unbeaten at home. He's an Ohio native.Washington (4-2) at New York Giants (1-6)The New York tabloids already are projecting which college quarterback the Giants will draft after they finish near the bottom of the standings for a second successive season. Maybe if they had anyone who could pass protect, the conversation wouldn't be so tilted against Eli Manning, who barely has time to look downfield as he sets up to throw. In comes surprise NFC East leader Washington, which ranks fifth in defense and has one of the top candidates for Comeback Player of the Year in Adrian Peterson. The veteran has 95-plus yards rushing in four of six games.Tampa Bay (3-3) at Cincinnati (4-3)It's natural to wonder about the Bengals' psyche after Cincinnati again blew a lead at home to Pittsburgh, then got hammered in Kansas City. The Bengals took the second-most-lopsided loss in coach Marvin Lewis' 16 seasons with that 45-10 debacle at the Chiefs. They had only one drive longer than 50 yards and a season-low 239 yards gained.Tampa stopped a three-game skid as dramatically as possible. Chandler Catanzaro made a 59-yard FG — the longest in OT since 1974 — for a 26-23 win over the Browns. The Buccaneers lead the NFL in total yards per game (449.5) and yards passing per game (364).New York Jets (3-4) at Chicago (3-3)A few weeks ago, the Bears sure were representing the city of big shoulders well, reviving talk of the Monsters of the Midway on defense, looking like a burgeoning power on offense. Then came a pair of losses and the Bears plummeted from the top of the NFC North to the bottom.Chicago led the league with 18 sacks through the first four games. The Bears have one since. Star Khalil Mack has no sacks in the past two games while being limited by an ankle injury, after getting five in the first four outings.Jets first-rounder Sam Darnold is learning how difficult a rookie QB's life can be. He's coming off his worst game as a pro with three interceptions. The No. 3 overall draft pick leads the league with 10 interceptions to go with one of the NFL's worst completion rates (56.1 percent) and passer ratings (74.3).Indianapolis (2-5) at Oakland (1-5)The teardown of the roster continues in Oakland, where Jon Gruden dealt his top receiver, Amari Cooper, to Dallas.Indianapolis QB Andrew Luck seeks his fifth straight game with at least three TD passes. Luck has 15 TDs in his past four games. Oakland is last in the league with seven sacks.Kicker Adam Vinatieri needs five points to break Morten Andersen's NFL career scoring record (2,544 points) but is plagued by an injured groin.San Francisco (1-6) at Arizona (1-6)The Cardinals have won eight of the past nine in this series, including three weeks ago.San Francisco is minus-15 in turnover margin, worst in the NFL.Arizona fired offensive coordinator Mike McCoy this week, replacing him with QBs coach Byron Leftwich. Star WR Larry Fitzgerald needs 135 yards to pass Terrell Owens into second place in NFL career yards receiving.

If the Cowboys had only worn the right cleats, we wouldn’t be talking about the Rams in the NFL Championship! ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Broncos general manager John Elway continued his latest coaching search Thursday by interviewing Zac Taylor, the Rams‘ 35-year-old quarterbacks coach who’s long on football pedigree but short on experience.Elway and player personnel director Matt Russell flew to Los Angeles to interview Taylor near the Rams’ headquarters in Thousand Oaks, California, a day after meeting with former Colts coach Chuck Pagano in Denver.Elway also plans to speak with Bears assistant Vic Fangio, Patriots assistant Brian Flores and Steelers assistant Mike Munchak. With the Rams off this weekend, Taylor also is expected to meet with the Arizona Cardinals about their head coaching vacancy.Elway is searching for his fourth head coach in six seasons after firing Vance Joseph on Monday with two-year record of 11-21.“This is no fun going through this. But the son-in-law of former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike Sherman has a strong track record working with quarterbacks and has earned praise in his two years on Sean McVay’s staff. He also has football in his blood: Taylor was the 2006 Big 12’s Offensive Player of the Year at Nebraska; his father, Sherwood, was a defensive back and captain at the University of Oklahoma; and his younger brother, Press, 30, is the QBs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. While Elway’s other candidates either have deep defensive roots or lots of experience, Taylor is the only one who boasts strong credentials in the run-pass option craze that has filtered from colleges to the pro ranks in recent seasons. And Elway concurred with cornerback Chris Harris Jr.’s assessment this week that the Broncos have fallen behind by not adapting on offense or defense in the three years since they won their last Super Bowl title.“Yeah, no doubt http://www.ramsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-john-johnson-jersey , especially if you look at where the rules are going,” Elway said. “The rules are getting shifted to the offensive side, too. I think that we’re still going to rely on the defense, but we definitely have to get better on the offensive side.”Taylor tutored the Rams’ receivers in 2017 and was Jared Goff’s position coach this season, when the 2016 top overall draft pick threw for 32 touchdowns and 4,688 yards while leading the Rams to a 13-3 record and the NFC’s No. 2 playoff seed. After college, Taylor served as a graduate assistant and tight ends coach on Sherman’s coaching staff from 2008-11 at Texas A&M, where he worked alongside current Broncos offensive assistant Klint Kubiak.Taylor jumped to the NFL in 2012 as a member of Joe Philbon’s Miami Dolphins staff and tutored Ryan Tannehill during the quarterback’s most productive seasons from 2013-15.He served as the Dolphins’ interim offensive coordinator for the final five games in 2015, then returned to the college ranks for a year as offensive coordinator at the University of Cincinnati.
It’s wildcard weekend Youth Ezekiel Elliott Jersey , and the Cowboys will be kicking off shortly. Before we get to the postseason action, lets take a look at the inactive lists for both teams to see who will be up, and who will be down.Cowboys Inactivesas unable to practice this week, so rookie Connor Williams will be starting in his place. Outside of Su’a-filo, the Cowboys are relatively healthy heading into the game. The offense will be getting a fully healthy Tavon Austin http://www.cowboysauthorizedshops.com/authentic-cole-beasley-jersey , Zack Martin, and a fresh Ezekiel Elliott.Seahawks Inactives The Seattle Seahawks are completely healthy heading into this matchup, other than the guys they have on injured reserve. Starting guard, J.R. Sweezy, was questionable heading into today Dak Prescott Jersey , but he is active and likely going to play. Kickoff is just around the corner, sit back, relax, and enjoy. Let’s finish this fight! Go Cowboys!FanPulse: Cowboys fans have almost no confidence left in the direction of the team The Dallas Cowboys are experiencing some serious lows on offense. Dak Prescott has failed to eclipse 200 yards passing in five straight games. The last instance of this was Quincy Carter in 2003 to give you a feel for where we’re at. As further evidence, the Cowboys are one of three teams (Titans and Cardinals) to not score a touchdown in either the second or third quarter this season. Understandably Authentic Travis Frederick Jersey , morale is low.Just how low is morale, though? We have a nifty tool here at BTB as part of the SB Nation family, a tool called FanPulse. Many of you participate in the FanPulse surveys and the intent of them is to do just that, gauge a pulse of the fans from the most intelligent pool of people possible. FanPulse results are in and to no surprise they are not particularly glowing for Dallas. Cowboys fans dropped 43% in confidence from Week 3 to Week 4 (the seventh-largest dip) and now sit at a season-low 6%. Only Arizona Cardinals fans feel less confident in their team (5%).The rest of the NFC East is feeling a lot better about their teamsWe’re only in Week 4, but the Cowboys sit in third-place within the most storied division in the NFL. Things can change quickly in this league as they were in first place last week Youth La'el Collins Jersey , but with Philadelphia and Washington sitting a game above Dallas and New York you would imagine things wouldn’t be too far apart in terms of confidence. You’d be wrong.Consider the confidence level of our division rivals and think about the disparity. Is this truly an accurate representation, or are Cowboys fans just more fickle and overreactive than the rest? FanPulse has proven before that our group’s pendulum swings further than anyone’s on a weekly basis.Eagles fans are 97% confident in their team.Redskins fans are 74% confident in their team.Giants fans are 54% confident in their team. All three division rivals sit above 50% while the Cowboys can’t even crack a lucky seven. While it certainly is possible that this is simply an overreaction the possibility does it exist that this lack of confidence is warranted. SB Nation recently polled all fans as to who the worst team in the NFL is. The options were the Arizona Cardinals, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, and Houston Texans. They finished in that order http://www.cowboysauthorizedshops.com/authentic-geoff-swaim-jersey , so the house isn’t totally on fire at least from an outside perspective. While Cardinals fans do have a lower level of confidence in their team than us it seems as if Raiders and Texans fans are at the very least more optimistic in their squads than anything. Oakland and Houston have 32% and 12% confidence in their teams respectively, and both of them are still winless on the season. Perhaps it’s even blind optimism, but it is more optimism than Cowboys fans nonetheless. A Cowboys win will (obviously) do a lot for confidenceIf history is any indicator then a win on Sunday for Dallas would help boost things in the positive direction. Lions fans are 66% confident in their team, but to be fair they did just beat the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. That’ll make anybody feel invincible.Detroit fans swung 48% upwardly this week so they may be as reactive as we are. Here’s to hoping they swing back the other direction on Sunday afternoon. Angeles because of a wrist injury that plagued him and a hamstring that popped before the last of five disappointing seasons with the Rams. The eighth overall pick in the 2013 draft believes the opportunity has arrived through a trade to the Dallas Cowboys and the health that Austin hoped would come with it. Having something to prove is nothing new for the 5-foot-8 hybrid receiver/returner/runner."There's always going to be a chip on my shoulder Cheap Ezekiel Elliott Jersey , No. 1 because I've always been small," Austin said. "I had the same thing coming out, when I went No. 8. So the chip's always going to be there regardless. But last year was a little hard, my injury and I didn't get a fair chance over there."At first, Austin really didn't know what to make of the draft-day deal that sent a sixth-round pick to LA. He had largely been a spectator when the Rams ended a 12-year playoff drought in the first season under offensive-minded coach Sean McVay.Austin's first conversation with owner Jerry Jones boosted his spirits, and he later told reporters he was close to a recovery from ligament damage in his left wrist. He hasn't missed a day at training camp as part of a revamped group of targets for quarterback Dak Prescott. While he played in all 16 games for the NFC West champions with nine starts, Austin had just 13 catches for 47 yards. Most of his work was as a runner (59 carries, 270 yards and his only touchdown). Most of his time was spent on the bench."Last year was the first time I had hit rock bottom dealing with an injury and the media bashing me saying I couldn't do it," said Austin Youth Maliek Collins Jersey , who had 1,689 yards and 12 touchdowns receiving and 1,238 yards and nine TDs rushing with the Rams, who were in St. Louis when they drafted him."But I stayed true to myself and I knew what happened to me. I wasn't a person to cry or point fingers or find any sympathy. If I went out there, I went out there. I thought I was ready, so that's what it was."Austin tries to stay out of the spotlight after practices at camp, only occasionally stopping for interviews. The 28-year-old is soft-spoken and reserved, but quick with a smile once he gets to talking. The Cowboys signed a pair of free agents in Allen Hurns and Deonte Thompson, dumped franchise touchdown receptions leader Dez Bryant in a cost-cutting move and drafted Michael Gallup in the third round http://www.cowboyscheapauthenticstore.com/deonte-thompson-jersey-cheap , a day before the trade for Austin. The change of scenery offered Austin the rare chance to fill a leadership void despite being new to Dallas. Not only are the Cowboys likely to have four new receivers on the 53-man roster, they have a new coach at the position as well."He's that veteran guy that I don't know that I've really had that I can say, 'Hey, get them to do this,'" receivers coach Sanjay Lal said. "Because even in the walkthrough, he's working through his footwork, he's sinking his hips, which is how you build muscle memory. Don't waste these reps."The way Austin sees it, he didn't get Lal's attention by doing anything unusual."I've never been a captain of a team http://www.cowboyscheapauthenticstore.com/kavon-frazier-jersey-cheap ," Austin said. "But people always listen just because of my work ethic. When I'm out there just talking, I'm having fun and No. 2 just competing. It's just in me. I definitely will take the role on being in leadership."He'll also take the role of coming out of the backfield — assuming that happens at some point. With almost as many carries (184) as catches (194) in his career, Austin figures to remain a hybrid back. The Cowboys just haven't shown much of the backfield component in camp."You can call him whatever you want to call him," coach Jason Garrett said. "He's obviously very quick. He's very fast. We're comfortable lining him up as a receiver outside or inside and certainly in the backfield as well. He's done all those things."Now Austin gets to try them with that elusive fresh start. The final game of the 2018 season will be played on Sunday, and in a way it’s sad that such an interesting season will be coming to an end.I’ve been in Atlanta on Radio Row with ESPN San Antonio through the week and gotten to see all of the hysteria going down. We’re at a point where people are starting to remember than actual game of football will be played and that it’ll be between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams.In order to properly understand what’s going down with the Pats and Rams we gathered the best. Bernd Buchmasser from Pats Pulpit and Jeanna Thomas from SB Nation (often times The Falcoholic) joined me on the official Blogging The Boys YouTube Channel for a breakdown of what’s been going on. The Royals had a runner on second base when Alcides Escobar laid down a sacrifice bunt. Covey has been in the bullpen for the past three weeks but is rejoining the rotation to replace rookie Michael Kopech http://www.oriolesfanproshop.com/authentic-manny-machado-jersey , who tore a ligament in his elbow and will require Tommy John surgery after only four starts in the big leagues. In seven starts against the Royals, Covey is 0-6 with a 5.87 ERA. He has walked 19 and fanned 20 in 38 1/3 innings. This will be the fourth time this season that Covey has faced Kansas City. The Royals will counter with right-hander Brad Keller (7-6, 3.14 ERA), who will make the 18th start of his rookie campaign. He has limited opponents to three runs in his past 15 innings for a 1.80 ERA during that span.In six career appearances (three starts) against the White Sox, Keller is 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA. He has walked seven and struck out 17 in 17 innings. He most recently faced Chicago on Aug. 18, when he earned a win and allowed one run — a solo homer by White Sox outfielder Nicky Delmonico — in five innings.Keller has made the most of his opportunity since he was selected in last winter’s Rule 5 draft by the Cincinnati Reds and quickly traded to the Royals for a player to be named. The moves gave him an opportunity to jump to the majors after working his way through the Arizona Diamondbacks’ system as an eight-round pick in 2013.“I wouldn’t call it effortless Chris Davis Jersey , but he comes at you,” Royals manager Ned Yost told the Kansas City Star. “He throws strikes with his stuff. Velasquez gave up just one run in the first four innings before the bullpen imploded, and Eflin has gone at least six innings in each of his previous three outings. The 24-year-old righty has earned two wins over that stretch, and the one loss in between them was actually a better effort than either victory with two runs allowed in six innings and eight strikeouts. If Eflin can pitch like that again, the Phillies can win. Why the Nationals can pay on the MLB linesWashington started a fire sale earlier on Tuesday and then responded with a nice victory Willie McCovey Jersey , perhaps motivated by the departures of Daniel Murphy and Matt Adams. Where the Nationals go from here remains to be seen, but they are back at the .500 mark and will see Stephen Strasburg (6-7, 3.90 ERA) go to the mound for the first time since July 20.Susan Walsh/Associated PressStrasburg surrendered six runs and eight hits in 4.2 innings of an 8-5 home loss to the Atlanta Braves in that last start and then proceeded to go on the disabled list with a neck injury. Last October, it was Houston partying at Chavez Ravine after winning Game 7 by the same 5-1 score. This time, the Dodgers only lasted five games.“It might not be a personnel thing,” Kershaw said of his team’s failures. “It might just be a play better thing.”Manager Dave Roberts visibly exhaled. Rookie Walker Buehler stared at the Red Sox hugging near the mound.“This one hurts for all of us,” Roberts said. The Dodgers managed just one baserunner — via walk — after the third inning. They were held to three hits.Kershaw gave up four runs and seven hits in seven innings, struck out five and walked none. Kershaw has a 6.06 ERA in six career postseason starts with his team facing elimination Hunter Pence Jersey , the worst among any starter with four such appearances — Pedro Martinez is next on the list at 5.92.After falling out of contention to start the season, the Dodgers beat Colorado in the NL tiebreaker for a record sixth straight division title and got by Milwaukee in seven games to earn their second consecutive NL pennant. But they couldn’t get it done when it counted most. It’s been 30 years since the storied franchise won the last of its six titles.“Ran up against a very good ballclub,” Roberts said, “and just a little bit too much for us.”Kershaw can opt out of the last two years and $65 million of his contract now that the World Series is over. Dodgers ownership has made it clear they’d like to keep their 30-year-old ace. He has never played anywhere else during his big-league career.“I’ve got three days now to think about all that stuff, and so it will be an eventful three days for me,” Kershaw said. “I haven’t made the decision yet. We have three days to talk, between us and the Dodgers, see what happens.”Roberts addressed his team after the game, and singled out Kershaw, who has been the face of the franchise for years.“I did mention Clayton by name as far as his legacy with the Dodgers http://www.giantsfanproshop.com/authentic-matt-williams-jersey , and what’s he done for the organization, the fan base,” Roberts said. “Wearing this jersey, Clayton exemplifies what it is to be a Dodger and to be a man of character.”Fellow left-hander Rich Hill credited Kershaw for being what he called “the heart and soul of this organization.”“Clayton is the Dodgers,” he said. “I just hope they do the right thing.”Manny Machado could be gone, too, after a short stay in Los Angeles. He was hitless in four at-bats Sunday, with three strikeouts, including one to end the game.Acquired before the July trade deadline, Machado showed excellent defense at shortstop Bruce Bochy Jersey , but his lack of hustle and incendiary antics were even more notable. Injured Corey Seager will be back in the hole next year.Roberts hasn’t received a contract extension, but he said afterward, “I expect to be managing the Dodgers.”A year after leading the majors in victories, the Dodgers were on a whipsaw ride. They often fell behind and had to rally. Many times it worked. Other times not.“I expect us to be back here next year,” Roberts said.Maybe not everyone, though.
BALTIMORE (AP) — mediately after becoming Baltimore’s manager in December. He phoned several players to chat Kevin Gausman Jersey , and last month got a close look at a portion of his squad a minicamp in Sarasota, Florida.“It’s been a real get-to-know process,” Hyde said. There will be more introductions next week in Sarasota when Hyde, the former bench coach of the Chicago Cubs, oversees spring training for a rebuilding team coming off a 47-115 season.“I’m familiar from video. I know their stats and where guys played last year and I’ve seen some play in the past,” Hyde said. “I was in the National League Central, so I don’t know all the players that well. That’s what’s the next two months is going to be about.”Sluggers Chris Davis and Mark Trumbo, along with starting pitchers Andrew Cashner and Alex Cobb, are among a handful of veterans poised to make the 25-man roster. Nothing else is certain for a team in the midst of a major overhaul under Hyde and first-year general manager Mike Elias.“This is a development deal, and we’re going to put guys in position to have success,” Hyde said. “But right now, if you asked me to pick 25, I’d be lying to you if I said I had it nailed down.”The hope is that spring training brings clarity to the situation.“I think it’s the most important piece as we’re getting going,” said Tim Cossins http://www.oriolesfanproshop.com/authentic-jonathan-schoop-jersey , hired in January as major league field coordinator. “The days down there will cement things going forward.”Elias did not secure a major league free agent until right-hander Nate Karns agreed to a one-year deal on Thursday. Despite the lack of offseason activity, Elias is fine with what he’s got heading into the first workout on Feb. 13.“We’re going to have what we need to work with, in terms of putting together a team and competition for spots,” Elias said. Some things to know about the new-look Orioles:NEW LOOKA year ago, Baltimore carried playoff aspirations into camp with a roster containing Manny Machado, Adam Jones, Zach Britton and Kevin Gausman. Now they’ve got a bunch of fresh faces, many with very little big league experience. Hyde has until late March to find out if guys like DJ Stewart, Richie Martin, Drew Jackson and Hunter Harvey have what it takes to start in the majors.ROOKIES TO WATCHOutfielder Yusniel Diaz, the highly touted prospect obtained from the Dodgers for Machado in July, probably isn’t ready to play in the majors. But he should be the most interesting rookie in camp, because the 22-year-old has the potential to be a future star. The oft-injured Harvey was the Orioles’ top draft pick in 2013 but has yet to make his Baltimore debut.THEY’RE SETEven though Davis is coming off the worst year of his career (.168 batting average, 192 strikeouts) Zach Britton Jersey , he’s poised to start at first base. Trumbo is the DH, Cedric Mullins will start in center field and Trey Mancini should start in left. Count on Jonathan Villar to play at one infield spot, either shortstop or second base.THEY’RE NOTThe competition for starting catcher, third baseman and right fielder is wide open. The rotation is cloudy beyond Cashner, Cobb and Dylan Bundy, and Mychal Givens will get the first look as the likely closer, despite going 0-7 with a 3.99 ERA in 2018.ON DECKAnything goes as Hyde prepares a roster for the regular season opener March 28 at Yankee Stadium. “Spring training is going to be really competitive,” Mancini said, “and it’s going to be an extremely important time for us to get better.” Maddie Meyer/Getty ImagesStarting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu reportedly accepted the Los Angeles Dodgers' one-year qualifying offer Monday.Jon Heyman of Fancred and MLB Network reported the news, while Mark Feinsand of MLB.com noted Ryu had until Monday's 5 p.m. ET deadline to accept the $17.9 million offer.Ryu is a terrific rotation option when healthy. The 31-year-old South Korea native showcased that in 2018 as he posted a microscopic 1.97 ERA to go along with a 1.01 WHIP and 89 strikeouts in 82.1 innings across 15 starts for the Los Angeles Dodgers.Injuries have been a consistent part of his story since signing with L.A. in December 2012, though. After making 30 starts in his debut MLB season, he's failed to reach that threshold in any of the past five years. That includes missing the entire 2015 campaign and making just a single start in 2016 while dealing with back, shoulder and elbow problems. In May, after suffering a groin injury that ended up keeping him on the disabled list until mid-August http://www.oriolesfanproshop.com/authentic-darren-o_day-jersey , he expressed his exasperation with the latest in a series of setbacks."It doesn't feel good," Ryu told reporters through an interpreter. "This seems to be worse than the ones in the past. Definitely very disappointed. I came into the season very healthy and had very good performances in the season. At this point, I'm very frustrated and very disappointed."While the 2008 Olympic gold medalist shined upon his return, posting a 1.88 ERA in nine starts during the stretch run of the regular season, he struggled during the playoffs. He compiled a 5.21 ERA in four postseason outings, including four earned runs in 4.2 innings in Game 2 of the 2018 World Series. His overall track record is strong, however, and the main concern is obviously the health woes, not his performance in last season's playoffs.Ryu's choice to return gives the Dodgers six starters with Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, Rich Hill, Kenta Maeda and Alex Wood also in the rotation mix. It will be intriguing to see whether the team uses them all or jettisons one to the bullpen until an injury arises. An extra day off between starts could help the veteran left-hander in his quest to remain healthy.
splash this offseason by acquiring catcher J.T. Realmuto Steven Wright Jersey , outfielder Andrew McCutchen, shortstop Jean Segura and relief pitcher David Robertson. But that may be the tip of the iceberg.Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported on Wednesday that the Phils, who have been heavily rumored to land superstar free-agent outfielder Bryce Harper, could set their sights on two other All-Stars to round out the pitching staff:Jon Heyman JonHeymanPhillies total focus right now is on bryce harper. after harper signs (either with them or elsewhere), philly will consider dallas keuchel and/or craig kimbrel. one person thought keuchels more likely since the pen is solid with robertson is aboard http://www.redsoxproshops.com/authentic-craig-kimbrel-jersey , but it could be either guy.Dallas Keuchel, who won the 2015 American League Cy Young Award, went 12-11 with a 3.74 ERA for the Houston Astros last season.Craig Kimbrel, who saved 42 games for the World Series champion Boston Red Sox last season, has a lifetime 1.91 ERA.Per Superbook VP of Risk Management Jeff Sherman David Price Jersey , the Phils have an 86.5 over/under win total. Only eight teams had higher marks. If Philadelphia can pull off this trifecta, then they should be shooting up the odds ledger. It's possible the Phils could even be National League favorites.Philadelphia already has a deep and promising starting pitching staff, with four of the five starters entering their age-27 season or younger. That quartet (Aaron Nola, Vince Velasquez, Nick Pivetta and Zach Eflin) all had FIP under 4.00 last season. Veteran Jake Arrieta was the exception http://www.redsoxproshops.com/authentic-mookie-betts-jersey , but he had a 3.96 ERA and the second-lowest WHIP among starters on the team.Adding Keuchel to the mix only makes the rotation better. A ground-ball pitcher, the southpaw would fit well in Citizens Bank Park, which has the tendency to be a bandbox, as noted by ESPN's MLB Park Factors list.Kimbrel would presumably fill the closer spot, moving Robertson to the eighth-inning role. The Phils would then have in essence two relievers perfectly capable of closing Brock Holt Jersey , which makes the bullpen much stronger. Robertson amassed 137 saves and a lifetime 2.88 ERA.Philadelphia opens the 2018 season on March 28 at home versus the Atlanta Braves. BOSTON (AP) — Boston Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright has had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee for an injury that kept him out of the World Series. The team says Dr. Riley Williams operated Monday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Williams also performed a debridement to remove damaged tissue.Wright was removed from the Division Series roster following the opener against the New York Yankees, a day after reinjuring his left knee during a workout. An All-Star in 2016, Wright started the 2018 season late following recovery from left knee surgery and a 15-game domestic violence suspension. The 34-year-old right-hander made four starts and six relief appearances, went back on the disabled list in late June because of the knee, then returned in September.Wright went 3-1 with a 2.68 ERA in four starts and 16 relief appearances.
TEMPE Rich Hill Jersey , Ariz. (AP) — nternal discussions regarding a new contract for outfielder Mike Trout, who can become a free agent after the 2020 season. The two-time AL MVP is owed $33.25 million in each of the next two seasons, completing a $144.5 million, six-year contract.“One of the last interviews I gave I said it’s not in the back of our mind but in the front of our minds,” Angels Moreno said Monday. The 27-year-old Trout did not want to discuss his contract situation on the Angels’ first day of full squad workouts.“I enjoy it here. I’m having fun,” he said. “Obviously, losing’s not fun but I enjoy playing this game. I leave it out on the field every night, every day and I go from there.”Trout has heard from plenty of fans back home in the Philadelphia area about where they’d like him to play.“I don’t think I went a day this offseason without somebody saying, ‘Hey, when are you coming to Philly?'” Trout said. “I can’t predict the future. I don’t know.”The Philadelphia Phillies have expressed interest in high profile free agents Bryce Harper and Manny Machado.“I’m an Eagles fan, and I know how we are,” Trout said. “If you’re going good, we love them. I don’t know how many times I heard, ‘Is Harper coming?’ I don’t know. It’s not a good direction for baseball when these guys aren’t signed.”Moreno is not against long-term contracts. He signed Albert Pujols to a $240 million, 10-year contract in December 2011.“If we don’t give a long-term contract, Albert doesn’t come here,” Moreno said. “He’s been great for the franchise, a really special player. You try not to go back too far for paying for something he’s already done, but you also look at the player and see what he really means to the franchise. We’re always trying to sell fan experience. We’re not going to win every night but we want to be in a situation where fans come to the ballpark and they get an opportunity to see some of the best players.”Notes: Angels manager Brad Ausmus said RHP Matt Harvey, bothered by a glute strain, threw off the mound on Monday. … OF Justin Upton will be sidelined for a few days because of right knee patella tendinitis, Ausmus said. ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — After getting three big homers and nine innings of outstanding pitching to complete a series sweep, the Los Angeles Angels are headed into a day off with a rare feeling of contentment in their disappointing season. The Detroit Tigers are just grateful to be going home after a horrific California road trip ended with nothing but losses.Justin Upton and Albert Pujols hit back-to-back homers in the fifth inning, and the Angels swept the Tigers with a 6-0 victory Wednesday.Kole Calhoun hit a leadoff homer and rookie Jaime Barria (7-7) pitched five-hit ball into the sixth inning for the Angels, who were in a 1-6 skid before getting back to .500 with their first series sweep — and their first shutout victory — since early June.“It’s always good to win like this Starlin Castro Jersey , especially when you sweep a series,” Barria said “Everybody is feeling much better. It’s a better atmosphere in the clubhouse.”The atmosphere was quiet down the hall as the struggling Tigers packed up for the plane: Detroit scored only eight runs on its 0-6 road trip, getting shut out three times. All but three of Detroit’s runs over 58 innings of play out West came in Tuesday night’s 11-5 loss to the Angels.“We’ve got a lot of guys struggling at the same time, a lot of guys fighting it,” Detroit manager Ron Gardenhire said. “We’ve got a day off, and we know we play better at home. We’ve got time to maybe work on a few things. We’ve got to get back on the positive side mentally.”Mike Trout missed his seventh consecutive game with a sore right wrist, but the Angels still scored 23 runs in the three-game series without their best player.“Obviously you never want to play many games without a guy like Mike in our lineup, but I think we’re holding our own,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. The Angels broke it open in the fifth when Upton connected on a full-count changeup from Blaine Hardy (4-4) for a two-run homer. Moments later, Pujols added his 632nd career homer.Hardy yielded seven hits over five innings for the Tigers, who are headed home without a win on the West Coast. Detroit has lost 21 of its past 26 road games overall.Starting with three strikeouts in the first inning, Barria had another effective outing for the Angels, who have benefited greatly from his surprising emergence as a dependable starter in their injury-plagued rotation. He struck out five in total and walked one before leaving with two outs in the sixth. The Angels bullpen then got 10 consecutive outs to finish it.Jefry Marte had an RBI single in the first inning, and he doubled and scored on Jose Briceno’s single in the sixth.KOLE’S SHOTCalhoun led off for the Angels with his 15th homer. The blast was the ninth leadoff homer by Calhoun http://www.marlinsfanproshop.com/authentic-justin-bour-jersey , who endured a miserable first half of the season before finding his stride since coming off the disabled list June 18. He has hit 14 homers since that DL stint, tops in the AL during that stretch.TROUT OUTThe Angels got more good news when Scioscia said he’s optimistic Trout could play Friday against the Oakland Athletics. Trout’s wrist has kept him out for the second-longest injury absence of his big-league career, but he will come in Thursday on the Angels’ day off to throw and perhaps to swing a bat.NO-HEIShohei Ohtani had the day off after homering Tuesday night as the Angels’ designated hitter. Ohtani frequently sits against left-handed starting pitchers such as Hardy.UNHAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTHThe Tigers haven’t won a series at Angel Stadium since August 2009, and they’ve lost 24 of their past 31 games in Anaheim. They’ve also lost 31 of their 43 meetings overall with the Angels since September 2012.TRAINER’S ROOMTigers: Catcher John Hicks went on the 10-day disabled list with a right groin strain. The move was retroactive to Tuesday. Detroit recalled catcher Grayson Greiner from Triple-A Toledo to back up James McCann.Angels: Manager Mike Scioscia is still hoping Tyler Skaggs can start Saturday against Oakland after coming off the 10-day disabled list. Skaggs went on the DL last weekend with a left adductor strain, but the move was retroactive to his previous start.UP NEXTTigers: After a day off, Jordan Zimmermann (4-4, 4.31 ERA) makes his 16th start of the season in the opener of a home series against Minnesota.Angels: After a day off, converted reliever Felix Pena (1-3, 4.97 ERA) makes his ninth start of the season Friday at home against Oakland. Pena has been a solid stopgap for the Halos’ troubled rotation. He took a no-hitter into the sixth inning in Cleveland last weekend, but still took the loss.
ractice for their upcoming playoff game with the Rams. But first Authentic Terrance Williams Jersey , let’s hear from head coach Jason Garrett. (All Garrett answers are paraphrased and not actual quotes). What is the challenge Todd Gurley presents? He’s a great player - quick, fast, explosive, he has instincts, vision, speed, power Womens Allen Hurns Jersey , can cut back, can catch the ball. In some ways, I just described Zeke.Antwaun Woods really impressed the Cowboys early onOne of the more underrated players on the Cowboys this season has unquestionably been defensive tackle Antwaun Woods. Jason Garrett discussed how they found Woods and saw him work all throughout training camp and that he’s someone who really impressed them.He noted Woods works hard everyday and showed up, play after play in training camp, then preseason. Garrett went back to the word meritocracy and noted his skill-set fits the scheme. Sean McVay has Jason Garrett’s respectObviously Sean McVay is regarded quite highly in NFL circles (did you know he can recite every player on every team?!) and Jason Garrett didn’t fall out of line there. He praised McVay and discussed how the Cowboys coached against him when he was in Washington. He said McVay uses all his weapons and has a balanced attack.Jason Garrett also respects Wade PhillipsRams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips was the last person to hold the Cowboys head coaching gig until it became Jason Garrett’s. There’s obviously a unique relationship there and Garrett noted that his time with Wade was very valuable and that he has the utmost respect for him. He said he would stay quiet and observe Phillips in specific football situations but also how he interacted with players and other people in the organization. Noted he learned a lot.Last year’s game against the Rams was a hard fought battleEarly in the 2017 season the Cowboys hosted Los Angeles and it was a game that went down to the wire to a degree. Asked what they learned from it Jason Garrett simply said that it was a great game but that things are very different. He doesn’t get into comparing teams.Jared Goff is a really good football playerThe Rams have a lot of weapons on offense and one of them is their signal-caller, Jared Goff. There were many Cowboys supporters who wanted the team to find a way to land Goff back leading up to the 2016 Draft. Jason Garrett discussed how they really liked him when he was coming out of school but that things obviously shook out the way that they did. He noted that Goff in college was particularly adept at passing under duress and that is a very important trait for an NFL quarterback. They really loved his workout and thought he would be a great player.Los Angeles is “a really good team”Asked what the challenges in their passing game beyond Goff are, Garrett basically described every thing they’re able to do on offense. He noted they are a very balanced team and run the ball extremely well which helps set up their passing game including play-action. The Cowboys are expecting Todd Gurley to play wellOne of the biggest challenges on Saturday night will be stopping Rams running back Todd Gurley. Jason Garrett noted that he expects to see the best version of Todd Gurley that there is and wasn’t concerned about possible rust.Cowboys are feeling good about special teamsJason Garrett specifically said that confidence was high regarding special teams. He really only just paid compliments to Chris Jones http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/kavon-frazier-jersey , Brett Maher, and L.P. Ladouceur but they’re obviously feeling fine.Dak Prescott is a natural leaderThe first action in a Cowboys uniform for Dak came in the NFL’s return to Los Angeles during the preseason two years ago. Asked if that day gave him any indication as to who Dak is Garrett simply discussed that he (Dak) is someone who handles all situations very well.Injury updateXavier Su’a-Filo won’t practice on Tuesday, Cole Beasley probably won’t, Blake Jarwin probably won’t, Tavon Austin will in a limited fashion, Zack Martin and Tyron Smith are doing well and expected to practice It isn’t exactly Chiefs-Rams, with Dallas and Washington exchanged in an old school NFC East battle. The Cowboys lead 10-7 at halftime but blew a chance to go ahead by a touchdown. They reached the Washington 4-yard line at the end of the first half Womens Antwaun Woods Jersey , but inexplicably forgot they had Ezekiel Elliott at running back. Dak Prescott threw incomplete to a wide-open Noah Brown on first down and took a 13-yard loss on second down on a shared sack by Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith. Prescott threw to Elliott for a 7-yard gain on third down, forcing the Cowboys to settle for a 28-yard Brett Maher field goal. It was a 14-play, 65-yard drive that ate up 5:36 but resulted in only three points. The Cowboys took the early 7-0 lead, scoring on their first drive. Elliott celebrated his 16-yard touchdown run by throwing $21 in the Salvation Army Red Kettle.Washington gained 53 of its 126 first-half yards on one play — a touchdown pass from Colt McCoy to Vernon Davis with 7:04 remaining in the first half to tie it 7-7. Elliott has 11 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown and four catches for 23 yards. Prescott has completed 16 of 21 passes for 146 yards. Amari Cooper has four catches for 35 yards. The Cowboys have missed left tackle Tyron Smith, who is not playing because of a stinger. Cameron Fleming has allowed Preston Smith to get 1.5 sacks of Prescott.McCoy has completed 7 of 14 passes for 116 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Anthony Brown became the first Cowboys cornerback to get a pick this season.Adrian Peterson injured his shoulder in the first quarter but returned. He has seven carries for 17 yards.Jordan Reed has three catches for 49 yards. Custom Miami Dolphins Jerseys

What’s No. 2? - Kevin Sherrington, Sports DayOther than stud pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence, who should the Cowboys prioritize in free agency?10 thoughts on the Cowboys loss to the Texans: Did Garrett make the wrong call on fourth down? The Dallas Cowboys got caught up in another nail-biter only this week they came up short, losing to the Houston Texans 19-16 in overtime. The Cowboys had a chance to grab the division league, but now join the Philadelphia Eagles at 2-3 on the year. The Washington Redskins play on Monday Night and will remain in atop the division regardless of what happens in their matchup against the New Orleans Saints. This game was a bitter pill to swallow as the Cowboys showed some holes on both sides of the ball. The offense struggled Color Rush Brett Maher Jersey , failing to score at least 17 points for the third time in just five games. The defense looked great at times, but then would give up some big plays that ended up being all the Texans needed to pull out the win. Here are my 10 thoughts on the Cowboys loss to the Texans.1. Big play tight endsIn each of the Cowboys first two drives, their biggest play came in the form of a passing play to their tight end. First it was Geoff Swaim who, for the second-straight game, caught a pass and turned on the jets for a 43-yard gain. Then, on their next possession, Rico Gathers caught a pass for 32 yards. Even Blake Jarwin caught his first ever career pass for a key first down in overtime. It’s great that Swaim is playing well, but it’s terrible that he was the team’s leading receiver with three catches for 55 years. It’s the second time this season he’s been the team’s leading receiver. That’s never good.2. Can’t close the dealThe Cowboys did a great job moving the ball on their first two drives, but had to settle for field goals each time. The offense was great on the early downs, but struggled on third down. Dallas had a chance to make a statement early with a couple scores, but unfortunately that statement was - they still are having trouble getting in the end zone.Once again, kicker Brett Maher had to do most of the scoring. The Cowboys had four scores on the night, with three of them being field goals. If the Cowboys offense can’t find a way to turn those red zone opportunities into touchdowns http://www.authenticsdallascowboys.com/cheap-la_el-collins-jersey , it’s going to be a long season for this team.3. Too much dancing time for WatsonThe Cowboys defense struggled to get pressure on Deshaun Watson. He would only get sacked one time and that was a one-yard loss as he was trying to escape Jaylon Smith. The Texans quarterback would create more time by running around in the pocket. Even when the defense looked like they might get him, he narrowly escaped and made a play. Watson kept extending plays allowing him to his receivers and keep the drive going. He also churned out 40 yards on 10 carries. Those hits started taking a toll however, as his second half scrambling declined. Considering the state of the Texans offensive line, it was disappointing that the Cowboys pass rush couldn’t come away with more plays.4. Jaylon comes up bigThe Cowboys were driving towards the end of the first half, but an interception shifted the momentum back to the Texans. In 90 seconds, Watson led his offense 67 yards down the field. Unfortunately for the Texans, they need 68. Houston had the ball inches from the goal line and Texans head coach Bill O’Brian decided to go for it on fourth down. If they punched it in there, it would’ve given them a 17-6 lead going into halftime. Instead, it remained a four point game as Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith flashed some of that Notre Dame speed and chased Watson down before he could get in the end zone. That was worthy of a swipe. It was also a nice game from his linebacker partner Leighton Vander Esch as the rookie racked up 14 total tackles, 11 of which were solo. The Cowboys have some things to sort out on defense, but the absence of Sean Lee doesn’t appear to be affecting them.5. What can Brown do for you?The second half couldn’t have started any better when the Cowboys defense came away with a turnover. Cornerback Anthony Brown was able to pull away Deandre Hopkins arms, causing the ball to come loose. Fellow cornerback Jourdan Lewis was right there to jump on it and then get up and scamper 14 yards setting up the Cowboys offense deep in Texans territory? The Cowboys could not ride that momentum into seven points however, as they once again stalled out and had to settle for a field goal.6. Costly non-catchesI’m not going to call them drops (although some were exactly that) Color Rush Jaylon Smith Jersey , but the Cowboys receivers struggled to catch the ball on Sunday night. Whether it was poorly thrown passes, having a defender draped all over them, or just a flat letting the ball slip through your hands, the Cowboys had some costly incompletions. Deonte Thompson just couldn’t come down with a third down pass that would have kept the chains moving. Tavon Austin made a great play on the ball while toe-tapping the sidelines, but the ball popped out as he contacted the ground. The coaches would challenge the play, but it would not be overturned. And then there were the two interceptions that were deflected off the receivers. In fact, all four of Dak’s interceptions this year have came off of deflections. That’s not to say they weren’t his fault as some of these passes were not thrown well, but Dallas continues to be on the wrong end of these deflected balls.7. Another costly mistake by GregoryRandy Gregory hurt his team in Seattle when a personal foul put the Seahawks in field goal position at the end of the half, resulting in a free three points. Against the Texans, Gregory had a costly penalty that gave Houston new life. On a third and long play in the fourth quarter, Gregory would get called for a hands to the face penalty, giving the Texans a new set of downs. The Texans would keep the drive going and kick a field goal. In a game where points are scarce, these plays are damaging.8. Goal line standsThe Texans offense would come up with some big plays http://www.authenticsdallascowboys.com/cheap-tyrone-crawford-jersey , but the Cowboys defense really buckled down when they got near the goal line. Houston had the ball near the goal line four different times, but only once did they score a touchdown. The Cowboys defense forced two field goals and had a turnover on downs at the end of the first half. What a great defensive stand by the Cowboys defense to hold them there. It’s a shame they couldn’t muster up enough offense to go with it.9. Houdini Part IIYou all know the infamous Tony Romo spin move to escape J.J. Watt the last time these two teams met where he then heaved it into the end zone for a touchdown. Well, Dak got his Houdini moment against Watt as well. After escaping from Watt, Prescott was able to roll to his left and launch it down field to Tavon Austin.10. Controversial 4th down callThe Cowboys won the toss in overtime and elected to receive the ball. They started out pretty good with a couple first downs after a Ezekiel Elliott and Blake Jarwin were able to turn short passes into first downs. But then the team was faced with a 3rd-and-1 at the Texans 42-yard line. After a Zeke run went for no gain, head coach Jason Garrett decided to punt the ball rather than go for it on fourth down. Was that a mistake?Well, as it turned it, it proved costly as the Texans moved the ball down the field and kicked the game winning field goal. The Cowboys could have taken matter in their own hands and just went for it there. Of course, the Texans faced a similar situation last week when Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich gambled and went for it, but failed to convert. It proved costly for them as it set the Texans up nicely for a game winning field goal.Reich took a lot of heat for that decision and you better believe Garrett is going to as well this week. cond straight loss to open the season http://www.buffalobillsteamonline.com/jordan-mills-jersey , this one to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Buffalo Bills find themselves dead last in all of the media’s power rankings heading into Week three. In ESPN’s power rankings, they have the Bills holding that 32nd spot for the entire season and are already looking forward to the 2019 NFL Draft:“The bad news: The Bills might be the worst team in the NFL. (ESPN’s Football Power Index agrees.) The good news: FPI gives the Bills a league-high 37 percent chance to obtain the top pick of the 2019 NFL draft. -- Koontz”The Chargers moved up one spot from 13th to 12th. NFL.com keeps the Bills in last as well. Even though the score was 31-20, they say the Chargers, “tapped the breaks” in the second half, despite McDermott taking over the defensive play-calling. The Chargers moved up three spots from 14th to 11th.Sports Illustrated’s Monday Morning Quarterback had eight of their writers this week vote on each teams ranking. Seven of those eight voted the Bills in the 32nd spot while one voter moved them all the way up to 30th. The Chargers moved up one spot in their rankings from 12th to 11th. CBS Sports have the Bills in last place and don't see them moving out of that spot any time soon:“It’s going to be a long season for this team. I would be shocked if they ever leave this spot.”No explanation as to why, but maybe there isn't one needed. The Chargers stay stagnant at the 16th spot for their rankings. Finally Authentic Tremaine Edmunds Jersey , SB Nation has the Bills in the last spot, the same spot they resided last week while the Chargers don't move and stay in the 13th overall slot. Through two quarters, the Buffalo Bills are hanging in against the New England Patriots. They trail the division leaders 9-3 at the half, within range of a single touchdown to take the lead. Of course, with this Buffalo Bills offense, even a single touchdown may be too much to overcome in any given game. The Bills defense has bent, but hasn’t broken Authentic Kelvin Benjamin Jersey , facing Tom Brady and the high-powered Patriots offense. They allowed the Patriots to get deep into Buffalo territory on three drives in the first half, but snuffed out each one and forced New England to settle for field goals. Matt Milano (pass breakup), Tremaine Edmunds (TFL) and Lorenzo Alexander (sack) were the key playmakers on each of those drives.Buffalo’s offense was a sight to behold from the start of the game. They opened with a Wildcat run for a first down, then went back to variations on the direct snap multiple times. Buffalo also attempted a double reverse flea flicker, which fell incomplete past Charles Clay. The Bills, acknowledging their limited passing attack with Derek Anderson and their receivers, sprinkled the college concepts into other drives throughout the game Womens LeSean McCoy Jersey , but still struggled to convert first downs. Buffalo finally found room to work late in the first half, scoring a 47-yard field goal to get on the board with three. Unfortunately, they finished the drive with 1:44 for Tom Brady to work. The veteran quickly diced up Buffalo’s soft zone coverage to put his team in field goal range and add one more score before the half. Fortunately, Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski hooked the 50-yard attempt wide right, preserving the six point lead. The Bills will receive the ball to start the second half. Can they turn this game around? We’re talking about the game in here. Go Bills!
s has been three points or less. Two of those victories (against Seattle and Green Bay) have been by just two points. The Green Bay Packers had the best chance to beat the Rams on Sunday. Had it not been for a costly turnover by Ty Montgomery on the kick-return Authentic Todd Gurley II Jersey , the Packers may have won that game. Aaron Rodgers is most clutch when he’s behind. But the Rams made the play when they needed it and kept their undefeated record intact. The Packers nearly beat the Rams by setting the tone early and being relentless on defense, especially in the pass-rush. Setting the tone The Rams ran no-huddle on the first drive and on third-and-four, they should have had the upper-hand on the Packers defense. Yet on the snap, Green Bay stayed in zone, which kept most of the field covered. Goff, who had all the time in the world to run and a lane that could fit an 18-wheeler, saw Bradin Cooks too late on a curl and got sacked. On third-and-five, Packers go shotgun and send everybody but Devonte Adams on 5-6-yard routes. Adams Authentic Jared Goff Jersey , however, throws a double-move which allows him just enough separation. The Rams send five pass-rushers and Rodgers waits until the pressure is right in front of him to whip a rainbow pass to Adams chest on the run. The Rams appear to be in Cover 2, but Jimmy Graham is able to find an open field for the 22-yard reception. Lamarcus Joyner shifts over to Rodgers X-reciever, who in this case was Marquez Valdes-Scantling. After Graham slips past Cory Littleton, Josh Johnson appears to get fooled by Rodgers eyes as he whips himself into a circle, thinking maybe the ball was going to Geronimo Allison. On this play from the 1-yard line, Ndamukong Suh falls over (I believe he was trying to get the jump on the play and blow it up), which actually ends up helping the Packers. With him on the ground http://www.losangelesramsteamonline.com/lamarcus-joyner-jersey , Corey Linsley is able to get to the second level and block Bryce Hager. The Green Bay pass rushOn this play, Havenstein hops to his right too much, which throws him off balance as he’s trying to overcorrect on his block. it blows up in his face with one move from Matthews. On the same drive, Blake Martinez uses a great cut-step to push through John Sullivan for the sack. Had Todd Gurley not moved over to shore up the left-side protection, this could have just been a throw-away incompletion. On a separate drive in the second quarter, the Packers send the blitz, which Martinez pretends to be a part of. But Martinez hangs around to split Sullivan’s attention before he drops back in coverage. Sullivan gets beat by Kenny Clark, who appears to kick out Goff’s legs for the sack. He didn’t throw his full bodyweight on Goff so I guess that’s cool. This game reminded me a lot of 2016 Robert Havenstein. He was undisciplined and panicked. Take this play for example. He initially takes a first step towards the defensive back on the outside Womens Cory Littleton Jersey , then steps back inside and turns towards the pressure that isn’t there, giving the outside rusher enough time to pressure Goff. The Packers pass-rush found success from inside and outside the tackles, and LA should tip their flat-billed Dodger caps to Green Bay. The defense found a way to apply pressure without having to sacrifice their pass-coverage. Its also rare to see Andrew Whitworth get beat like that. The swing pointIn my opinion, the Rams were able to swing momentum back their way when Mark Barron recorded the safety to give LA its first score of the game. Bell Byran, who was the RG on this play, decided to go to his right, which gave Barron the opening to shoot the gap and tackle Aaron Jones. After this play, the Rams found the end-zone before halftime and it felt like the Rams were on even ground with the Packers. As if Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald hasn’t already accomplished everything possible Womens Brandin Cooks Jersey , here’s another accolade to add to the legendary season the five-time pro bowler is putting together:Aaron Donald put together a downright dominant performance in week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals in their home. He dominated to the tune of seven combined tackles, three sacks, and four tackles-for-loss.Donald is now up to 19.5 sacks on the season, breaking both the all-time DT sack record and the single-season Rams sack record in week 16. Donald is now only 3.5 sacks away from breaking the all-time sack record which DE Michael Strahan set with his 22.5-sack season. The Rams have now received eight of the player of the week awards, pulling awards on all three phases of the game. This is Donald’s second Defensive Player of the Week award as he also won the award in week seven.Onto bigger and better things for #99.
Jared Goff wasn’t spectacular http://www.ramsfootballauthentics.com/samson-ebukam-jersey-authentic , but he got back on track after an early strip sack that can be easily attributed to a missed blocking assignment by new acquisition C.J. Anderson - though Anderson redeemed himself with a massive day on the ground.Aaron y push for Michael Strahan’s record next week. It’s probably a good thing he’s accustomed to double and triple teams at this point.... he could be one of a select few starters who get significant playing time next weekThe rest of the defense finally stood up as well. Ndomukong Suh had some good plays and Cory Littleton had a nice deflection as well as some clutch tackles. In addition to holding David Johnson to 3.5 yards per carry, the Rams shored up the pass D and held Josh Rosen under 50% completion percentage. The Rams finally dominated in a way you expect an 11-3 team to dominate a 3-11 team in week 16 and moved a step closer to earning a bye week.Sure it was against inferior competition, but Sean McVay’s Rams did what they had to do in order to allow fans to breath a little easier over the holiday. When the time came to dial up a big play for Michael Thomas, the Saints' leading receiver answered the call.He even had a flip phone planted in the padding of each goal post, just in case.Thomas caught a late 72-yard touchdown reception and then celebrated with a cellphone in a throwback to another famous New Orleans play, and the streaking Saints handed the Los Angeles Rams their first loss of the season with a 45-35 victory on Sunday."I loved the celebration myself, and I think it was the perfect time when I did it," Thomas said. "We love our fans and we always want to bring them back great memories."Drew Brees passed for 346 yards and four touchdowns in New Orleans' seventh straight win, and Thomas finished with a club-record 211 yards receiving. But what happened after the last of his 12 receptions stole the show in a wild shootout between two of the NFL's best offenses.Thomas' long TD came on a pivotal third-down play with about four minutes left. The Rams (8-1) seemed to expect the Saints (7-1) to run a play closer to the first-down marker and double-teamed dynamic running back Alvin Kamara.Brees recalled thinking Youth Aqib Talib Jersey , "Kamara's doubled, Mike's singled, Mike's by him, here we go."Thomas ran free behind Marcus Peters, caught Brees' long throw virtually in stride and ran straight to the goal post to begin his reprise of Joe Horn's Sunday night TD celebration against the New York Giants in 2003."I paid a tribute to him, tried to get the crowd going a little bit more, set the tone, have fun out there, giving people a show Womens John Sullivan Jersey ," said Thomas, who eclipsed Wes Chandler's club record of 205 yards receiving against Atlanta in 1979. "You got to have fun. All these guys just catching touchdowns and celebrating with each other, having fun, getting the crowd involved. I felt like I had an opportunity to make it happen."Like Horn, Thomas was penalized, but the Rams never threatened again.P.J. Williams, who forced a fumble and had an interception for a touchdown in New Orleans' previous victory at Minnesota, broke up a fourth-down pass intended for Brandin Cooks, virtually sealing the result. The former Saints receiver Youth Marcus Peters Jersey , who caught six passes for 114 yards and a TD, fell to his knees in frustration.Kamara scored three times, twice on runs and once on a 16-yard catch-and-run — all in the first half.Rams defensive players lambasted themselves for poor tackling at inopportune times, particularly on Kamara, who gained 116 yards from scrimmage. But coach Sean McVay sought to put the season's lone loss in a positive light."We're good. We love it. You find out about yourself when you have a little bit of adversity," McVay said. "I know that everybody in that locker room is going to respond the right way. Sometimes setbacks can be setups for comebacks — and that's the way we look at it."COMEBACK BIDJared Goff, who passed for 391 yards and three TDs, nearly led the Rams to an extraordinary comeback amid the din of the Superdome.Los Angeles rallied to tie it at 35 with 21 unanswered points in less than 21 minutes, starting with Greg Zuerlein's 56-yard field goal as time expired in the first half. The Rams opened the second half with an 11-play touchdown drive capped by Malcolm Brown's 18-yard catch in which he hopped over safety Marcus Williams along the sideline and kept his balance long enough to reach the ball across the goal line. After another Los Angeles field goal http://www.ramsfootballauthentics.com/jared-goff-jersey-authentic , the Rams forced a second straight punt and tied it on Cooper Kupp's 41-yard catch-and-run along the sideline. The Saints regained the lead on Wil Lutz's 54-yard field goal, and then forced the Rams' first punt of the game with about five minutes left.SCORCHING STARTBoth teams scored touchdowns on each of their first two possessions, starting with Kamara's 11-yard run and Todd Gurley's 8-yard score.Gurley's score have him a TD in a Rams-record 12 straight games, passing Hall of Famer Elroy Hirsch. The tenor changed when outside linebacker Samson Ebukam stripped Saints running back Mark Ingram and defensive Aaron Donald recovered on the Saints 22. But four plays later, Johnny Hekker was ruled down just short of a first down on a fake field goal."We're an aggressive, attacking-type team, and if we feel like some of these looks present themselves to try to do that, we have confidence in our players," McVay said. "Unfortunately Youth Robert Woods Jersey , it didn't work out."The Saints responded with Brees' quick hit over the middle to rookie Tre'Quan Smith from 4 yards out for the first of three successive New Orleans touchdowns. After Zuerlein missed a 51-yard field goal attempt, the Saints scored on Brees' 13-yard pass to Ben Watson with just more than a minute left in the half.Alex Anzelone's diving interception of Goff's pass over the middle set up Kamara's short TD run with 26 seconds left in the half."We as a defense didn't play well enough," Rams defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh said. "The first half, we gave up way too many points and put ourselves in a bad position."INJURIESRams edge pass rusher Matt Longacre was being evaluated for a concussion during the second quarter.UP NEXTRams: Host Seattle on Sunday.Saints: Visit Cincinnati on Sunday.

A rebuilding project for the perennial also-rans will probably continue for several years under CEO Derek Jeter, whose group bought the franchise after the 2017 season.“We did not have to trade J.T.,” president of baseball operations Michael Hill said. “But our goal is to build a long-term sustainable championship organization.”The deal could vault the Phillies into playoff contention, and they’re still pursuing free agents Bryce Harper and Manny Machado . They bolstered their lineup earlier with the additions of shortstop Jean Segura and 2013 NL MVP Andrew McCutchen .The Phillies had the worst batting average in the major leagues last year (.234) and were third in strikeouts (1,520). They led their division with the second-best record in the NL one week into August, then went 16-33 over the final 49 games and finished with a losing record (80-82) for the sixth consecutive season. The Marlins had been talking for months with numerous teams about a Realmuto trade before deciding to send him to their NL East counterparts.“We’re talking about the best catcher in all of baseball, so of course he was popular,” Hill said.Alfaro is expected to replace Realmuto as Miami’s starting catcher. He’s expected to start this year in Double-A, and Stewart will begin in Single-A.Realmuto was a first-time All-Star in his fourth season last year. SEATTLE (AP) — The New York Yankees have activated shortstop Didi Gregorius from the disabled list. The Yankees made the move before Friday night’s game at Seattle. He wasn’t in the starting lineup, with recently acquired Adeiny Hechavarria at shortstop and batting eighth.“We’ll ease him back in,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. “Hopefully, get him in at some point (Friday night) and start him (Saturday). As a left-handed hitter in the middle of the order, he kind of balances us out a little bit. And obviously, he’s so steady for us at shortstop. He’s kind of like a quarterback out there at shortstop.”Gregorius suffered a bruised left heal on Aug. 19 and missed 16 games. The Yankees were 9-7 while Gregorius was out. New York holds the top AL wild-card spot. The Yankees used Gleyber Torres for 13 starts at short and Hechavarria in three while Gregorius was out.Gregorius is hitting .270 with 22 home runs and 74 RBIs. He’s getting a little far removed from last time, when he went on the DL with it. He threw a side (session), pitched a game and it’s almost a month now. Now he’s going to have to build back up, and I don’t know how smart that would be. For what?”The Jays placed Russell Martin on the paternity list prior to the game.
Kellen Moore is running the offense at the Pro Bowl. yet Womens Antwaun Woods Jersey , but there he is in Orlando, Florida - configuring the plays for the NFC’s best offensive stars. The Cowboys coaching staff has the honor to coach this year’s group of Pro Bowlers and that’s just what they’re doing. First-year quarterback coach Kellen Moore is taking full advantage. The Cowboys haven’t officially announced who will be taking over the offense following the firing of Scott Linehan, but Moore’s name been buzzing around the inner circles of Cowboys networks. With the news of Jon Kitna likely taking over the job of quarterback coach, that would obviously leave Moore without an actual position on the staff. The Cowboys must have something in store for him whether it’s a full promotion to offensive coordinator or not. In fact, he may be auditioning for the job as we speak, using this week’s Pro Bowl game as a litmus test. The idea of having Moore as the team’s new play-caller has come with mixed reactions. Some are wondering why he’s even on this staff in the first place as they either focus on his lack of success as an NFL quarterback Womens Jaylon Smith Jersey , or his closeness with Linehan. Others aren’t thrilled about idea simply because of his lack of experience. They want a proven offensive genius to take control of the Cowboys offense and get them rolling again. Unfortunately, those types of coaches already have good jobs. While there are some who aren’t thrilled about the idea of having Moore take on a larger role in the offense, other people are intrigued about the idea. He’s really smart as coaches and players continue to rave about how much he understands the offense, with the latest endorsement coming from Cowboys All-Pro center, Travis Frederick. It doesn’t seem like that long about when Jason Garrett joined the coaching ranks and his first boss, Nick Saban Womens Deonte Thompson Jersey , initially had no interest in hiring him. But it only took one conversation with him for Saban to realize just how smart he was. Garrett was hired as the Miami Dolphins quarterback coach and landed his first offensive coordinator gig with the Cowboys in 2007. Dallas finished 13-3 that season, setting all kinds of franchise records on offense and at the time, scored the second-most points in team history.Moore’s intelligence has never been in question. But what does that mean when it comes to calling plays? Does he posses the creativity to keep defenses on their heels? Frederick believes so.Frederick wouldn’t divulge any details about the play, but apparently this Kellen Moore-designed play has lead to several touchdowns over the course of the last couple years. That’s encouraging. If Moore does posses the ability to inject some effective plays into the Cowboys offensive system, then by all means - give that guy more power. The title of offensive coordinator will certainly give Moore the authority to implement his ideas into the offense. It shouldn’t be much longer before the Cowboys make an official announcement. All things point to it being an internal hire with Moore and tight ends coach Doug Nussmeier the front runners for the job. However it’s Moore, not Nussmeier http://www.dallascowboysteamonline.com/anthony-brown-jersey , who is installing the offense for the NFC Pro Bowl team. The 4-5 Dallas Cowboys will travel to Atlanta to take on the 4-5 Falcons. It’s a game both franchises desperately need to win to remain firmly in the playoff chase. Otherwise, the season could start slipping away. The Cowboys are coming of a spirit-lifting win over the Philadelphia Eagles that has given the season a renewed hope. So much about the offense looked better last week. Amari Cooper’s presence is having an effect on the offense as a whole, and particularly on Dak Prescott. His completion percentage is up, third-down conversions are up, the offense looked crisper. The Cowboys were also able to run the ball all over Philly, thanks to a resurgent offensive line. Left guard replacement Xavier Su’a-Filo helped the line to be more consistent and the results were a solid win.On defense, Leighton Vander Esch is turning into a star (grab a shirt if you’re in the mood). From nearly the first meaningful snaps he received as a member of the Dallas Cowboys, Vander Esch was an impact player for one of the best defenses across the league in 2018.The man dubbed the “Wolf Hunter” was all over the field for the Cowboys, recording 176 total tackles (Cowboys rookie record), 102 solo stops, and a pair of interceptions. They weren’t just some useless box score stats either; LVE was truly an important and vital player on a defense that finished as one of the more improved units across the league under the guidance of Kris Richard and Rod Marinelli. Perhaps the biggest stop of Vander Esch’s rookie campaign came against the Eagles. The Cowboys, coming off of a disappointing home loss to the Titans on Monday Night Football, traveled to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in a game that turned around the Cowboys’ season. LVE was a huge reason why the Cowboys came out of Philly with a win.The first-year phenom linebacker out of Boise State was always around the ball during his rookie campaign.
