Baltimore Ravens T-Shirt , Justin Tucker has earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Month. It comes as no surprise, as Tucker has been automatic through the first four weeks of the season. Tucker has connected on 9/10 field goals, with the lone miss coming on an illegal block against the Denver Broncos in Week 2. Given the blocked field goal was not his fault, Tucker has essentially hit 100% of his clean attempts this season. Three of his nine conversions came from 50+ yards, including a 55-yarder. Tucker also nailed all 12 of his extra point attempts. Since he entered the league in 2012, Tucker has yet to miss an extra point attempt. As is the case throughout his career, Tucker has been automatic this season. He currently ranks as the highest-graded kicker in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. Against the Steelers in Week 4, Tucker was vital in the team’s success. He accounted for 14 of the Ravens 26 total points, hitting four consecutive field goals in the second half. Tucker scored the final 12 points for Baltimore. Tucker remains a steadying force in a league full of kicking inconsistency. Many teams Baltimore Ravens Hats , namely the Cleveland Browns, have lost games this season in part due to missed field goals and extra points. Fortunately, the Ravens do not have this issue. In the NFC, New Orleans Saints kicker Wil Lutz was also awarded special teams player of the month. Lutz hit 10/11 field goal attempts and was briefly a member of the Ravens in 2016. With his ability to kick accurately from any distance, Tucker is a serious weapon. It would not be surprising if he earns multiple player of the month honors this season.
