NEW YORK — One thing is almost certain heading into Sunday’s game between the New York Rangers and Vegas Golden Knights: Whomever loses probably can’t do so in any weirder or agonizing fashion than they did Friday night.A pair of teams looking to bounce back from their roles in a historic NHL evening will square off Sunday afternoon, when the Rangers host the Golden Knights at Madison Square Garden. Both teams were off Saturday after blowing three-goal leads in a pair of shocking overtime losses Friday night, when the Golden Knights fell to the host New Jersey Devils 5-4 and the Rangers were beaten by the visiting Arizona Coyotes 4-3.Article continues below ...Remarkably, the Golden Knights and Rangers weren’t the only teams to squander a three-goal lead in a loss Friday night. The Carolina Hurricanes also did so in a 6-5 shootout loss to the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals.According to the NHL, it was only the second time in history at least three teams came back from deficits of three goals or more. Four teams did it Nov. 25, 1987.Not that the Golden Knights, Rangers and Hurricanes are looking to parse their Friday night “feat Custom Winnipeg Jets Jerseys ,” but Vegas’ blown lead against the Devils — who entered Friday mired in a 1-4-4 rut — was the most resounding of all.The Golden Knights (18-14-2) chased Devils goalie Cory Schneider by racing out to a 3-0 lead in the first 9:23 of the first period. But New Jersey pulled to within 4-2 by the end of the second and scored twice in the third before earning its first overtime win of the season.“We played a real good first 10 minutes of the hockey game and that was it,” Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant told reporters afterward. “New Jersey took over after that.”The Rangers (14-13-4) had a little longer period of prosperity Friday, when they opened a 3-0 lead over the Coyotes 5:48 into the second period and carried a 3-1 lead into the third. But the result was the same — a seemingly easy win slipping through their hands against a skidding opponent. Arizona snapped a four-game losing streak with the comeback victory.“Maybe because we’re going through this tough time, we’re not confident enough,” Rangers coach David Quinn told reporters after his team fell for the seventh time in nine games (2-5-2). “But we’ve got to get out of it in a hurry. We can’t have a three-goal lead and a 3-1 lead going into the third period and do what we did.”Neither team has announced a starting goalie for Sunday — the Rangers practiced while the Golden Knights had the day off — but it seems likely at least one backup will be in net.Marc-Andre Fleury made his 12th straight start for the Golden Knights Friday, when he took the loss after making 37 saves. SAN JOSE http://www.officialsharks.com/authentic-adidas-brent-burns-jersey , Calif. (AP) for their final road trip of the season looking like a far different team than the one that stumbled its way through a tour of the Central Division just last month. They have the midseason additions of Evander Kane and Eric Fehr to thank for that. With Kane provide a scoring threat and physical play as a top-line wing and Fehr solidifying the fourth line and penalty kill, the Sharks are playing as well as anyone in the NHL down the stretch with a seven-game winning streak that is the team’s longest in five years.During this streak, they have managed to win wide-open games as well as tight checking ones and have managed to negate the speed of teams such as Vegas as well as deal with more physical play like they had Saturday in a 5-1 win over Calgary.”I think that’s something we’re trying to pride ourselves on,” defenseman Brenden Dillon said. ”Playoffs you’re going to meet all sorts of teams, speed teams, teams that can play hard down low. I think we’ve got the personnel that we’re able to match up with those. We’re doing things in practice to prepare for them.”The Sharks are in prime position with just two weeks left in the regular season. They have moved within six points of first-place Vegas in the Pacific Division with seven games remaining, giving them an outside shot at a division title. But perhaps more importantly, they entered Sunday six points ahead of Anaheim and Los Angeles in the race for home-ice advantage in the first round. It’s a far cry from last March when a six-game losing streak cost San Jose a chance at the division title and the team was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs by Edmonton. Now they’re playing their best hockey in March.”We’re a desperate team,” Kane said. ”We need all the points we can get. We haven’t clinched a playoff spot yet. The teams that are right behind us keep winning. We have to keep pushing forward and keep picking up points as we close out the season in order to secure a spot. It’s good to get in that playoff mindset right now.”Kane has provided a major lift since his arrival in a deadline deal with Buffalo on Feb. 26. He has stepped onto the top line with center Joe Pavelski and provided a scoring threat and some needed toughness to help make up for the absence of Joe Thornton, who has missed two months with a knee injury. Thornton has started skating again, but there is no timetable for his return.Kane has seven goals and five assists while helping the Sharks to a NHL-best 10-2 record since he arrived. The team is scoring 4.2 goals per game with Kane in the lineup after scoring just 2.8 goals per game before he arrived.”He’s a crucial part to our team,” center Chris Tierney said. ”You can see how much he brings, whether it’s the physicality side or the goal scoring. He adds a lot of depth to us and he’s been great for us so far. Just gives us an extra layer of everything.”While Kane’s play has gotten most of the attention, the addition of Fehr just a week earlier has also had a big impact. Fehr has filled a hole at fourth-line center Julien Gauthier Jersey Womens , allowing coach Peter DeBoer the freedom to roll through his lines without fear of mismatches, and added an accomplished penalty killer to a unit that ranks second best in the NHL.That line has even provided an offensive boost of late, especially since Jannik Hansen moved back into the lineup alongside Fehr and Barclay Goodrow after Joonas Donskoi went down with a shoulder injury. All three fourth-liners scored goals in a win last Tuesday against New Jersey and Hansen added another in the homestand finale on Saturday against Calgary after failing to score any goals in his first 39 games this season.”It always helps when you’re helping out and you’re producing,” said Hansen, who was a healthy scratch for long portions of the season.”It gets you momentum, it makes you feel good about the game. The puck doesn’t bounce as much, stuff like that. Obviously whenever we can chip in it’s a big part. We want to roll four lines and the fourth line is a part of that.”— PHILADELPHIA (AP) — San Jose went from shut out to blowout in 24 hours.Joe Pavelski scored two of San Jose’s four first-period goals, and Evander Kane also scored twice to spark the Sharks to an 8-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night.Flyers fans were still buzzing from the pregame festivities for the home opener, which included rookie mascot Gritty rappelling from the rafters to the ice, when the Sharks pounced. The Flyers turned over the puck at the point, Logan Couture beat the odd-man rush and fired his first goal of the season past Brian Elliott. Pavelski made it 2-0 just 11 seconds later when he knocked in a rebound for his first goal of the season. The Sharks, a Stanley Cup favorite, were just warming up. They had five goals in their first three games — including a 4-0 loss a night earlier to the New York Islanders — and then scored five goals through two periods.“It’s good to see us come out, 60-minute game Womens Evander Kane Jersey , get a little confidence,” Pavelski said. “Guys had some chances, saw some guys score some goals. That goes a long way, getting one early and get going.”With the Flyers set to play Wednesday at Ottawa, Elliott stayed in despite the miserable performance in front of him. Instead, they heard 20,000 fans voraciously boo them off the ice to end the period.Coach Dave Hakstol said he should have benched Elliott, who faced 48 shots, after the second period.“We left him out to dry. He’s our best player tonight,” Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere said. “It could have been 8-0 after the first. It’s a little ridiculous. Some of us really got to look in the mirror on this team. We’ve got to respond tomorrow. When you leave a guy out to dry like that, it’s really not fair.”The Flyers might want to skip the replay of this clunker.San Jose got some help late in the first when replay officials in New York awarded Pavelski his second goal for a 3-0 lead. The puck was in play when Elliott cleared Pavelski’s shot until a whistle stopped the action. Sure enough, the review showed Elliott’s glove was behind the line when he swatted Pavelski’s puck and the no-goal was overturned.“Any time the game kind of gets out of hand like that, it’s easy to relax. That’s when bad things can happen,” Kane said. Not against the Flyers.Kane redirected a puck off his skate late in the first to make it 4-0. It was San Jose’s first power-play goal of the season after a 0-for-12 start. One of the main goals the Sharks had this offseason was improving a power-play unit that ranked 16th in the league last season at 20.6 percent. On the concourse, the Flyers’ arena host asked fans what they were most excited about for the opener, and it was near unanimous for Gritty. Sure enough, he swung like a pendulum as he descended from near the retired number banners, and the crowd went wild.Kane added his second of the game and fourth of the season in the second to make it 5-1. Tomas Hertl, Timo Meier and Barclay Goodrow also scored in the third for an 8-1 lead. Aaron Dell stopped 31 shots.Gostisbehere and Wayne Simmonds scored for the Flyers.NOTES: The Flyers named Simmonds an alternate captain for the season, Andrew MacDonald will be an alternate captain for the Flyers on the road, and Couturier will be an alternate captain at home. Chris Wagner added an empty-netter with 1:31 remaining.Halak has won consecutive starts since a 1-4-2 stretch during which he allowed 23 goals. Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy attributed the rough patch to the defense’s inability to clear traffic from in front of the net and give the Slovakian goalie a chance to see the puck.“He had a real hot streak at the start, cooled off a little,” Cassidy said. “A product of both those streaks is usually the team in front of you. You play well, they keep the net clear, the goalie is going to look good.”Halak did his part, denying Corey Perry on an odd-man rush that was set up by Rickard Rakell’s stellar backhand pass in the opening minute of the second period.Halak also got some help when defenseman Brandon Carlo deflected Brandon Montour’s follow-up shot of a breakaway by Ducks rookie forward Max Jones late in the first period.Jones didn’t have the angle he wanted initially and hesitated to shoot after racing past three Bruins at the blue line, allowing Halak to square up and make the initial save.“A couple of times I got help from my D by clearing the puck or making a save for me, but I think it was a good effort,” said Halak, who got his 46th career shutout.Acciari put the Bruins in front 5:31 into the first period when he tipped Carlo’s powerful slap shot past Boyle Adidas Paul Stastny Jersey , ending a 16-game scoreless streak. The Bruins made it 2-0 on DeBrusk’s power-play goal 5:07 into the second. ANAHEIM Frans Nielsen Jersey Kids , Calif. (AP) in a season riddled with injuries and setbacks, the Anaheim Ducks still weren’t certain they were heading back to the playoffs. So the Ducks dug down deep and came out with the ticket to the Stanley Cup tournament. And now that they’re in, their hard-earned resilience could be a nightmare for anybody in their path.Ondrej Kase scored the tiebreaking goal on a rebound with 3:56 to play, and the Ducks clinched their sixth consecutive postseason berth with a 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night.Kase secured his first 20-goal season by jumping on a long rebound of Josh Manson’s shot, and Andrew Cogliano added an empty-net goal. Nick Ritchie also scored, while Manson and Francois Beauchemin had two assists apiece as the Ducks officially extended the NHL’s second-longest streak of consecutive postseason berths – a streak they share with Minnesota.”It’s very satisfying,” goalie Ryan Miller said. ”The guys certainly turned a corner. We were grinding from the start.”Miller made 26 saves in his first start since March 9 for the Ducks, who have won eight of 10 in their usual late-season surge.Anaheim also leapfrogged archrival Los Angeles into third place in the Pacific Division, leading by one point with two games to play for both clubs. The Ducks’ streak of five consecutive Pacific Division titles was ended by Vegas this season, but Anaheim’s veteran lineup remains a foreboding matchup for any playoff opponent. The Ducks still have most of the core that reached the Western Conference finals twice in the past three seasons.”This whole year has been a bit of a struggle,” captain Ryan Getzlaf said. ”With the start we had, and the players we had out of the lineup, it was tough to see the big picture at that point. Our guys did a good job battling throughout the whole year. We accomplished one goal we wanted.”Matt Dumba scored a power-play goal and Devan Dubnyk stopped 28 shots for the Wild, who took their fifth loss in seven games during what turned out to be a meaningless contest for them. When the St. Louis Blues’ loss to Chicago ended during the first period in Anaheim, Minnesota was locked into third place in the Central Division, ensuring a first-round matchup with Winnipeg or Nashville.”Both of those teams have had pretty fantastic seasons, and (neither is) really a great option,” Dubnyk said. ”But I think us Gordie Howe Jersey , as a group, have shown that we can play and beat anybody in the league, including both those teams. I think it will be exciting for us.”The Blues’ result also clinched a playoff berth for the Kings, and it meant the Ducks would be able to clinch as well. Coach Randy Carlyle’s team didn’t miss the chance, even while playing without several injured regulars – a theme of the Ducks’ entire season.”You can’t hide the fact that it’s been a different type of year for our hockey club,” Carlyle said. ”But every time people were ready to count them out, they were able to stand up and say, `That’s not happening.”’Ducks goalie John Gibson sat out with an upper-body injury that doesn’t appear to be serious, and Miller coolly picked up his second straight victory after coming on in relief for Gibson on Sunday. Both teams were without their top defensemen. Minnesota’s Ryan Suter is done for the year with a broken ankle, while Anaheim’s Cam Fowler missed his first game since Nov. 19 with a shoulder injury that could require six weeks of recovery.Dumba’s goal in the second period was his second of the season at Honda Center, where he scored the overtime winner for Minnesota on Dec. 8.Nearly seven minutes later, the Ducks evened it by crowding Dubnyk. With Adam Henrique’s help, Ritchie got credit for his 10th goal of the season.”They got a fluke goal to tie it up, I thought, but (in) the third period, they definitely outworked us,” Minnesota coach Bruce Boudreau said. ”It was a great test. We want our building filled and we want our fans to see an exciting brand of hockey. Sometimes, as painful as it is, you need a fresh start.”The move comes in the wake of a winless three-game trip, extending Chicago’s losing streak to five in a row heading into Thursday’s home game against Carolina. The power play, a persistent problem, ranked 27th in the NHL heading into Tuesday. The Blackhawks (6-6-3) also are allowing an unseemly 3.73 goals per game.“A decision like this isn’t made on one game, one play, or one specific thing,” general manager Stan Bowman said. “It’s sort of a collection of things. Certainly the road trip was concerning. But I think even heading into that, there were some elements to our game where they weren’t where they needed to be.”Assistants Kevin Dineen and Ulf Samuelsson also were let go. I won’t try to fill them. I’ve got to be myself. And we’re different people, so I’ll bring different things to the table, different ideas to the table.”The 60-year-old Quenneville was the longest-tenured head coach in the NHL. He had another year left on a three-year contract extension he signed in 2016 that pays him $6 million per year, second highest in the NHL behind Mike Babcock in Toronto. He also was the second coach fired in the past three days after the Los Angeles Kings dismissed John Stevens.Whenever Quenneville wants to get back to work, he likely will have plenty of suitors. The former NHL defenseman has 890 wins in 22 years as a head coach with St. Louis, Colorado and Chicago. Scotty Bowman, Stan’s father and a senior adviser with the Blackhawks, is the only man with more regular-season victories.Quenneville took over Chicago four games into the 2008-09 season, replacing Denis Savard after the Hall of Famer was let go by former general manager Dale Tallon. What followed was an unprecedented run for one of the NHL’s Original Six franchises.Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Keith and Seabrook blossomed with Quenneville behind the bench, and the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010, 2013 and 2015. Then they missed the playoffs entirely last season for the first time in a decade.Quenneville finishes with a 452-249-96 record with Chicago. He also went 76-52 in the playoffs with the Blackhawks for the best record in franchise history. The dismissal turns up the heat on Bowman, who has made a couple of questionable moves that helped hasten the Blackhawks’ decline. He traded Artemi Panarin to Columbus and Teuvo Teravainen to Carolina in part because of salary-cap issues, and each player has put up big numbers with his new club.“I believe in this roster, I believe in Stan,” McDonough said. “Stan is meticulous, he’s very thorough and when you break down free agents, when you break down trades, some work, some don’t. You’d like most to go your way and over time, they may. But his body of work is excellent. I want him to succeed.”
ANAHEIM Columbus Blue Jackets Hats Womens , Calif. They were in a faster gear than we were. It seems like when we have to reach back for more energy or stiffness with our group, we’re unable to do it. WINNIPEG http://www.redwingsshoponline.com/authentic-anthony-mantha-jersey , Manitoba —By that logic, the Winnipeg Jets took a significant step towards their goal of hoisting the Stanley Cup next spring by beating last season’s champs, the Washington Capitals, 3-1 Wednesday night at Bell MTS Place. It wasn’t a Rebrandt by any means — it can’t be when you have two shots on goal in the first period, one of which came from your own zone and was practically moving backwards when it was gently brushed aside by the goalie — but the Jets got stronger as the game wore on and did a good job of neutralizing sniper Alex Ovechkin and keeping virtually all of his teammates’ rushes to the outside of the rink.Article continues below ...Defenseman Josh Morrissey was his usual tower of strength in shutting down the high-octane Capitals attack but his body slam of forward T.J. Nick was sorry to have missed the goal by Marcus, but he was elated to hear his proclamation came true. The brothers communicate almost daily, providing tips for each other along with standard pick-me-ups and sibling ribbing. After Nick took a puck to the face in Game 1, Marcus teased him by reminding him that goalie Sergei Bobrovsky was the one paid to get in the way of the pucks.”You don’t realize how special it is, but I raced back after dinner to watch your brother play in the playoffs,” Nick said. ”It’s a pretty cool feeling.”—AP Hockey Writer Stephen Whyno in Washington and AP Sports Writer Mitch Stacy in Columbus, Ohio, contributed to this report.—

A nice run by RB Nick Chubb and then an acrobatic play by TE David Njoku set Cleveland up at the 1-yard line on 1st-and-goal.What ensued was offensive coordinator Todd Haley calling four pass plays from the 1 yard line, none of which worked. On the last play, QB Tyrod Taylor landed awkwardly on his left hand as his pass fell incomplete. He had to leave the game, but later returned to finish out the second half (whew). The Browns’ defense thrived during the first half, forcing four turnovers and one safety. General manager John Dorsey will be in charge of finding the next Cleveland Browns head coach. The Plain Dealer’s May Kay Cabot reported Wednesday that owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam have fully empowered the experienced executive to lead the search despite reports they would have a role. Longtime NFL reporter Albert Breer corroborated the report on 92.3 The Fan’s Bull and Fox program, saying the owners met with Dorsey earlier in the week to discuss that approach.Earlier this week, Sports Illustrated’s Robert Klemko reported the owners had not given Dorsey any assurances he would have input into the hire. However, Cabot’s sources indicate Dorsey will have “full authority” to conduct the coaching search, which also may imply he ultimately retains final hiring authority. Whether the Haslams maintain a veto power remains to be seen. Some interesting names have surfaced in the coaching search to date. Recently retired coach Bruce Arians said he would be willing to return to coaching, but only for the Browns job, according to CantonRep.com’s Steve Doerschuk. Arians was the Browns offensive coordinator from 2001 to ‘03, and the 2002 season was the last time they reached the playoffs.Other names suspected to draw Dorsey’s interest include Baker Mayfield’s college coach Lincoln Riley, New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, and former Browns offensive coordinator John DeFillipo.Whatever Dorsey does Cleveland Browns Hats , he has to find a coach with a vision that aligns with the organization’s. Differing viewpoints are important, but there needs to be a common base philosophy in place to prevent toxicity and discord. Most importantly, he has to find a leader, one with the football and personal acumen necessary to innovate and bring his team together underneath that unified vision. This should be a walk in the park for someone with his experience in the industry. But anyone reading this knows better. Dorsey’s decision will have immense and lasting effects, so let’s hope he finally gets this right for the Browns. Custom Atlanta Falcons Jerseys
during the first three weeks of the NFL season. Now the defense will be getting some reinforcements as the Browns head to Oakland looking for just their second road win against the Raiders since 2006. Defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah and linebacker Christian Kirksey http://www.clevelandbrownsteamonline.com/greg-joseph-jersey , who both missed the past two games with injuries, are back at practice and expected to play on Sunday.Even without two of its starters, the defense has forced a league-high 11 turnovers, are 11th in points per game allowed (19.7) Authentic Greg Joseph Jersey , tied for fourth in touchdown passes allowed (3), fourth in opposing quarterback rating (72.4), and tied for 10th in average yards per carry allowed (3.7).Now Ogbah is ready to get in on the fun, according to clevelandbrowns.com:The Raiders may be a mess right now under head coach Jon Gruden Myles Garrett Jersey Elite , but the offense has played well enough to average a tick more than 400 yards a game so having Ogbah and Kirksey back on the field should be a good thing.Carl Nassib has some explaining to do over Hard Knocks There were plenty of fun storylines surrounding the Cleveland Browns that came out of the first episode of Hard Knocks, the HBO series that provides an inside, albeit edited, look at the team during training camp. One standout performance that everyone was talking about the next morning came from second-year defensive end Carl Nassib http://www.clevelandbrownsteamonline.com/myles-garrett-jersey , who shared some financial advice on the power of compound interest to his fellow linemen: While everyone had a good laugh about it, even if there are still some lingering questions about the financial merit of Nassib’s advice, one person in particular did not appreciate Nassib’s language - his grandmother. It’s a good reminder that the cameras are always on when it comes to Hard Knocks and you never know who will be watching. The Browns will be back at practice today from 3 p.m. to 5:55 p.m., and the next episode of Hard Knocks will air Tuesday at 10 p.m. Custom New York Jets Jerseys
The injuries continued to pile up at Saint Thomas Sports Park today and Marcus Mariota had a day to forget as the Titans returned to the practice field after a day off on Sunday. Overall Navy Will Compton Jersey , this was probably the worst practice the Titans have had so far. As usual, I’ll have the three stars of practice along with injury updates and practice notes below.3rd Star: Adoree JacksonThe defensive backs were a bright spot from beginning to end today and Jackson stood out the most to me among the corners. He had some nice wins during the 1v1 period against the wide receivers and then followed that up with a strong performance in team periods as well. His highlight for the day was a beautiful break on a Delanie Walker speed out where he cut under the route and used his inside arm to bat the ball down. 2nd Star: Kenny VaccaroAll eyes were on the newest Titan as Vaccaro got his first real practice field work with the team since signing on Saturday morning. The first thing to note was that Vaccaro was the first safety up with the first team defense across from Kevin Byard. Rookie Dane Cruikshank rotated in with that group as well, but it was usually Vaccaro that got the first rep. Vaccaro’s athleticism and physicality were on display frequently as he was often around the ball and nearly came down with a diving interception on a Marcus Mariota deep ball during a team period. I think Titans fans are going to like Vaccaro (and I’ll have more on him soon here so stay tuned). 1st Star: Dane CruikshankIt’s impossible to know if the addition of Vaccaro had anything to do with it, but this was pretty clearly Cruikshank’s best day of camp so far. Not only did he get a chance to work with the first team defense, but he flashed with some really great plays in run support. The highlight was a pitch left to Derrick Henry where Cruikshank quickly recognized the play and slashed through the defense to make a tackle for what would have been a big loss. He followed that up a few plays later with another nice stop. Injury UpdatesCorey Davis: This is obviously the big news of the day. Davis sat out practice today after reportedly leaving Saturday’s practice at Nissan Stadium early. Of course we don’t know anything about what that injury might be, but Vrabel did sound optimistic afterwards saying that “your buddy will be fine” referencing Davis. Obviously, Davis missing any time in camp creates widespread panic among Titans fans after last season Navy Logan Ryan Jersey , but luckily it sounds like this injury may be on the shorter end of the spectrum.Nate Palmer: This was a new injury from camp today as the veteran inside linebacker/special teams contributor was carted off with a leg injury. That’s never a good thing and there is a decent chance this spells the end of the line for Palmer in Tennessee as he was already on the roster bubble. Deontay Burnett: Because the football gods hate Tennessee Titan receivers, they also decided to strike one of the more promising young receivers with an injury today. Burnett made a catch — as he seemingly does every time he gets on the field — late in practice today, but went to the ground after getting his legs tangled with the DB. He got up limping and talked to trainers. No telling how serious this injury may or may not be, but I’m really hoping Burnett will be able to play on Thursday. Kendrick Lewis: Lewis was back on the practice field today, but did not participate in team periods or 7-on-7s from what I saw. Sharif Finch: Finch remains out with a mystery injury. It’s too bad since I thought he was flashing early in camp. Hopefully he gets back out there soon.Brian Orakpo: No update on Rak as he continues to be held out with a shoulder injury.Rashaan Evans: No update on Evans either, he remains out. PUP List: Jack Conklin, Rishard MatthewsInjured Reserve: Johnathan Cyprien Navy Kenny Vaccaro Jersey , Tye SmithOffense NotesWoof, this was a rough day all around for the offense, particularly Marcus Mariota. The Titans QB struggled throughout the day with accuracy, often leaving balls too high or behind the intended receivers. It was easily his worst day of camp, but luckily it came one day in the middle of August and not during a fall Sunday. ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky has talked again and again about how uncomfortable this offensive system can be for quarterbacks who are new to it, so we shouldn’t be surprised or alarmed by days like this. Just a bad day.Without Davis out there, the wide receivers struggled against the excellent first team secondary. Taywan Taylor had one of the better plays of the day when he did a great job holding on to a tough contested catch over the middle on a deep dig route. One of the interesting parts of seeing the wide receivers without Davis was seeing the rotation for the other starting spot opposite Taywan Taylor. Darius Jennings was typically the first man up with the 1s with Tajae Sharpe rotating in behind him. Sharpe was on the receiving end of Mariota’s best throw of the day though as he got a step behind Logan Ryan and Mariota dropped in a perfect ball for what would have been a long touchdown pass. The Titans worked on some sets with 3 tight ends on the field — Delanie Walker Youth Jonnu Smith Jersey , Jonnu Smith, and Luke Stocker — early during practice. Stocker was often used as the fullback in those sets. Jonnu Smith flashed with a great sideline grab on an out route where he hauled in the pass and dragged his toes in bounds showing nice concentration to hold on to the ball through the ground. He’s had a really good camp. Enormous backup tight end Tim Semisch had a really nice touchdown catch during a red zone period when he went up and over his defender to snag a Blaine Gabbert fade pass in the back of the end zone.Dalyn Dawkins has been the less talked about UDFA running back behind Akrum Wadley, but Dawkins has made some plays over the last couple practices that I’ve seen. He’s very similar to Wadley in regards to size and speed. He used that speed to get the edge on an outside run today which went for a nice gain.Defense NotesLogan Ryan got beat by Sharpe on the play described above, but he also got an interception as a high Mariota throw fell out of Walker’s hands and Ryan did a nice job concentrating through contact to catch the ball for the turnover. Malcolm Butler had some nice moments again today, though he didn’t get any turnovers. He had great coverage on Darius Jennings on a deep ball and was able to break it up. Butler and Ryan have been rotating snaps opposite Jackson in the Titans base defense. I would expect Butler to get the majority of those snaps during the season, but that may vary from game to game depending on matchups.Aaron Wallace had a good showing today, setting the edge well on the run and then reading and reacting to a screen pass to stop Derrick Henry for a loss. He also got a good pass rush to put pressure on Mariota during a team period.Austin Johnson and DaQuan Jones both made splash plays in the middle of the defense during team periods. The Titans front seven looks like it is going to be stout once again this season. With Sharif Finch and Brian Orakpo out Navy Kamalei Correa Jersey , there are more snaps to go around for the outside linebackers. Derrick Morgan and Harold Landry primarily worked with the first team while Aaron Wallace and Gimel President were the primary edge rushers with the second unit. President appears to be working above Carraway in the rotation right now for what that’s worth.Odds and EndsMike Vrabel stopped practice at one point after a false start by the third team offensive line. He huddled the entire team around and got the message across that he didn’t like the way things were going. Things seemed to pick up after that. The Titans kickoff their preseason slate this week with a road game in Green Bay on Thursday night. It’s a 7:00 PM Central Time kickoff.Report: Eric Reid, Lardarius Webb and Mike Mitchell to visit the Titans It was announced earlier today that Johnathan Cyprien is out for the year because of a torn ACL. There is no doubt that is a blow to a secondary that probably has the best chemistry of any group on the Titans. It is also a blow because the Titans are thinner at safety that just about any other position on the roster.Mike Vrabel said earlier today that the Titans had Eric Reid in for a workout and they are keeping an eye on him. It was also reported that Kenny Vaccaro will be in Nashville Friday for a visit. Now we have Ian Rapoport reporting that Mike Mitchell and Lardarius Webb will come in for visits:Mitchell was a second-round pick by the Raiders back in 2009. He has bounced around a little bit and was most recently with the Steelers last year.Webb was a third-round pick by the Ravens in 2009 as well. He obviously is very familiar with the system considering he has played for Dean Peas for the last 6 years.I don’t think it is completely out of the realm of possibilities that the Titans could sign 2 of these guys.[UPDATE]- Schefty says Reid is coming in for a visit on Friday as well:
Barkley was stuffed repeatedly for the first time in more than a month. Eli Manning had little time to throw Jurrell Casey Jersey , and there was no Odell Beckham Jr. on the field to provide relief.A week after their best offensive effort in years in a 40-16 win over the Washington Redskins, the New York Giants (5-9) were grounded on a cold, rainy day at MetLife Stadium. The Giants were shut down and out by the Titans 17-0 Sunday in a game that featured Tennessee rushing back Derrick Henry rushing for 170 yards and two touchdowns. The loss ended the Giants' faint playoff hopes that stayed alive longer than expected after a 1-7 start."Didn't do anything well enough to expect to win, didn't make plays, we didn't run the ball, we didn't stay on the field on offense, we had penalties, so we didn't play well enough there," Giants coach Pat Shurmur said. "I thought on defense, they ran the ball, we didn't tackle as well as we did in the last few weeks, which extended drives for them, and they beat us."What was really surprising was the way the Titans handled Barkley Cheap Rashaan Evans Jersey , who came into the game as the NFL's No. 3 rusher with 1,124 yards and a streak of four straight 100-yards games on the ground.Tennessee set out to stop Barkley and forced the Giant to pass. It was the perfect strategy. The Titans held Barkley to 31 yards on 14 carries, with a long run of 17 yards. He caught four passes for 25 yards, giving him 56 total yards from scrimmage, only the second time in 14 games he has been held under 100 yards."It's football," Barkley said. "That's what comes with the responsibilities of playing running back. It's not always going to be there, every play is not going to be a 40-yard gain. You just have to take what they give you. When the opportunity comes, you have to split it and make them pay for it. We didn't do that today."The Giants made mistakes: Manning was sacked three times, hit eight times and turned over the ball twice. The offensive line struggled all day and got hit with too many penalties that created bad down-and-distance situations. With the Giants down 7-0 early in the second half, New York reached the Titans 18. A hands-to-the-face penalty against Jamon Brown pushed the ball back to the 28, and two plays later Kevin Byard intercepted Manning on third-and-20.A strip sack by Titans linebacker Kamalei Correa and fumble recovery by tackle Jurrell Casey set up Henry's second touchdown."Give credit to the Tennessee defense," said Manning, who finished 21 of 44 for 229 yards. "They played well. They did a good job stopping the run on some early downs. The few times we actually got some things going http://www.titanscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-josh-kline-jersey , we had negative plays, we had penalties where we just could not sustain the drives and keep things going. They played well and we didn't."Sterling Shepard, who was targeted nine times and caught two passes for 37 yards, said the conditions were difficult."Nothing seemed to go our way and the weather didn't help at all, either," Shepard said. "You can't use that as an excuse. You have to fight through that. Both teams have to do it."The Titans (8-6) did, and they are still in the playoff hunt. The Giants are out for the sixth time in seven years. The exception was 2016.The end this year was not surprising, considering New York opened the season with a 1-7 record."There's nothing that we can do about it now," linebacker Alec Ogletree said. "We have two weeks left here to finish out the season, so we have to turn our attention to Indy (Indianapolis) next week and get ready to go play." I cannot think of a time where the Titans first game has been more anticipated. Most of us believe that this roster is talented enough to do special things. We believed that last year as well, but we had a coaching staff that was holding them back. Then our hero, Amy Adams Strunk, stepped up to the plate and fired Mike Mularkey. A new era of Titans football was born. They hired a coaching staff that we still don’t know a ton about to this point. What we do know is that they are going to run an offense from this century. It is going to be fit to what Marcus Mariota does well. We can’t be 100% confident in it to this point because of the inconsistency in the preseason Cheap Will Compton Jersey , but it will be different, and that is what we were all begging for in the second half of last season.Today is a game the Titans need to win. I do think the Dolphins will have a pretty good year, but they aren’t going to be in the top third of the AFC. These are the types of games a team that thinks they can be in the top third need to win. With that being said, please, please, please don’t overreact if they don’t win today. Tomorrow is called over-reaction Monday for a reason. There will be plenty of teams that are declared Super Bowl contenders and plenty of teams that are left for dead tomorrow that will swap places before December. People were trying to bury the Patriots at multiple points last season. The Eagles were left for dead when Carson Wentz got hurt. We saw how those 2 things played out.Enjoy this season. I do think it is going to be a special one, but even if it isn’t, we are only guaranteed to get to see the Titans play 16 times this season. 16 times. Think about how long that offseason just was...and they played into mid-January. Football season is so, so short. There is no reason to not enjoy the games we get to watch.I would also urge everyone here to be civil with each other. At the end of the day, we are all Titans fans. We may have different opinions about the way we think things should go down, but the ultimate hope for all of us is to see the team holding the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season. It will happen one day!If you are new here, welcome! We will have a ton of stuff going on every Sunday. Terry will have inactives. We will have an open thread for you to discuss the game while it is happening. Terry will be back with a quick recap. There will be a ton of detailed content after the game as well. Stay locked in here all day!Happy Opening Sunday. GO TITANS!!
Jay Ajayi’s injury Last season an Eagles running back suffered a torn ACL Authentic Destiny Vaeao Jersey , and then the Eagles traded for a running back. History might be repeating itself as Jay Ajayi is out with a torn ACL and another trade for a running back is a real possibility. But who would be available? There are quite a few backs who might be available, but don’t get too excited. The unexcitingAmeer AbdullahWhy the Lions would trade him: Abdullah isn’t getting any playing time. At all. He’s played four snaps this season, all on special teams. Why the Eagles would want him: Abdullah theoretically offers dual threat value. In his first two seasons in Detroit he averaged 4.3 yards per carry and 8.0 yards per reception. If the Eagles can get him back to that level of performance, he’d be a boost. It seems it’s just a matter of time before the Lions move on from him, the Eagles could jump the line and toss Detroit a 7th round pick to make sure they get him.Theo RiddickWhy the Lions would trade him: Like Abdullah, Riddick can’t get any action, rookie Kerryon Johnson and LeGarrette Blount have taken 97 of the Lions 107 handoffs. While Riddick is third on the Lions in receptions with 23, Johnson isn’t far behind with 15, he’s shown himself capable of catching the ball out of the backfield. And the Lions head coach and GM were in New England when the Lions drafted Riddick, so they have no attachments to him (or Abdullah). Why the Eagles would want him: If the market for a straight up Jay Ajayi replacement isn’t appealing, a fill in for Darren Sproles might be.Kenyan DrakeWhy the Dolphins would trade him: It would be strange to replace Jay Ajayi in 2018 with the guy who replaced Jay Ajayi in 2017. Though he has consistently played more snaps than Gore, Drake has been outcarried by the immortal Frank Gore in each of the last three games, and Gore (4.3 yards per carry) has been more effective as a runner (3.9).Why the Eagles would want him: Drake is 24, can catch the ball, and is dirt cheap on the salary cap.Bilal PowellWhy the Jets would trade him: Powell is the nominal starter, but the boom or bust Isaiah Crowell has been more effective, with 5 TDs to Powell’s 0, and two 100 yard games to Powell’s 0, even though Powell out carried Crowell in both games. A free agent after the season, if the rebuilding Jets can get something for him, they should. Why the Eagles would want him: While Crowell has the scores http://www.philadelphiaeaglesteamonlines.com/jordan-hicks-jersey , Powell has been steady, averaging 5 yards a carry or better in three games. Unless the Eagles can swing a deal for a bonafide starter (we’ll get to that later), Powell’s steady play might be appealing.Shouldn’t HappenLeSean McCoyWhy the Bills would trade him: He’s 30, has split time with Chris Ivory, and it’s hard to see how he would have any trade value in the offseason. Right now he probably has no value considering his $6 million salary, off-the-field issues, and drop off in play the last two years, but you never know. Why the Eagles would want him: They shouldn’t. The Bills offense is awful so everyone is going to look bad in it, but given McCoy’s age and workload over his career there’s no reason to think that getting him out of Buffalo is magically going to make him good. (For what it’s worth, the Eagles reportedly tried to trade for him last year.)Doug MartinWhy the Raiders would trade him: He’s not playing. Martin’s season high in snap counts is 16, and he’s played less than 25% of snaps in four games. The Raiders have a Week 7 bye, so they might be doing some redecorating very soon. Oakland has already moved on from two veterans they acquired in the offseason, so anything is possible for the Raiders as they spiral downward. Why the Eagles would want him: They shouldn’t, he hasn’t been good since 2015.Not Going To HappenDavid JohnsonWhy the Cardinals would trade him: The Eagles reportedly have interest in Johnson, but the Cardinals have no reason to trade him. Johnson just signed a contract extension, so trading him would swing a wrecking ball to their salary cap, and trading away one of the best running backs from an offense starting a rookie QB would be profoundly stupid. Then again, this is the team that signed Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon, so profoundly stupid is within their realm of possibilityWhy the Eagles would want him: Of course they would be interested in a top-tier running back in the prime of his career.Could happen:Tevin ColemanWhy the Falcons would trade him: At 1-4, the Falcons are all but toast, and Coleman will be a free agent at the end of the season. Rookie Ito Smith has played well as a pass catcher in Devonta Freeman’s absence Womens Brandon Graham Jersey , so the Falcons may be comfortable moving on from Coleman in-season if the price is right, as Coleman should get them a pretty good comp pick for 2020.Why the Eagles would want him: Why wouldn’t they. Coleman is 25, can run and catch, and he has plenty of tread on the tire, he’s had 20+ touches in a game only four times in his career.Maaaaaayyyybe It’ll HappenLe’Veon BellWhy the Steelers would trade him: Do I really need to explain? Why the Eagles would want him: Again, do I really need to explain?A few words on why the Eagles wouldn’t want him: If they can’t agree on a new contract, the Steelers are going to get a 3rd round pick in 2020 for Bell, so any trade is going to have to top that. Even if the Eagles were willing to top a 2020 3rd and give up a good player that the Steelers would want, they’d also have to open up the cap space to take on his contract, which currently stands at $10.3 million, though with every passing week that decreases by $855,529. Which they may or may not have done. Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ...A Message From Jeffrey Lurie: 25 Years Of Special Memories - PE.comWe have captured eight NFC East titles and advanced to six NFC Championship Games. We pushed through to the Super Bowl in 2004. And, in 2017, we accomplished our ultimate goal of bringing the first Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia. And, who can forget Jason Kelce’s speech dressed as a Mummer! Like many of you, that day – the parade down Broad Street and the celebration on the Art Museum steps – will forever be part of our history. It was magical and enlightening to share that historic moment, filled with tears of joy and happiness, with each of you. The special bond between you, our players, and this organization is what pushes us to win more Championships in the future. I can’t wait to do it all over again! The Eagles have some big decisions to make on their free agents - BGNThere were a few reasons why the Eagles struggled to a 9-7 record in 2018. The main contributor was injuries, with an inconsistent secondary and backfield hurting the team (again Womens Corey Graham Jersey , injuries) as well. But another one was the lack of production by several players. Fortunately for the Eagles, a lot of them are about to become free agents, so it will be easy to move on from them. For others, there are arguments for and against bringing them back.On the Move? - Iggles BlitzAvonte Maddox – The rookie DB started at nickel, CB and FS in 2018. He showed a lot of promise and must be a starter in 2019. But where? If the Eagles let go of Rodney McLeod, then moving Maddox to FS would make a lot of sense. Maddox covers a lot of ground and takes good angles to the ball, a critical skill for a deep safety. He is a good tackler. Maddox has good ball skills. I think Cre’Von LeBlanc will be the nickel in 2019 so that means Maddox is playing outside or at FS.Wentz’s 2018 numbers shouldn’t be overlooked - NBCSPA quick breakdown of Carson Wentz’s performance on the field for the Eagles in the 11 games he played.Driving The 101 With Sean McVay: On Texting Belichick, Trusting Goff and the Plan for Super Bowl 53 - FMIAThere’s no doubt in my mind that McVay and offensive coordinator Zac Taylor have used this week to mine for things the Patriots have never seen in formations and plays and maybe even personnel groupings, and so won’t have been able to prepare for them. The Eagles used that approach last year, and it worked.Welcome to the Super Bowl, Where Patriots-Rams Is the NFL in Microcosm - MMQBThe game might come down to second-tier guys. When I asked Nagy about stars like Todd Gurley and Brandin Cooks matching up on the New England defense, he said, “They’ll have a good plan for those guys, for sure. So whether it’s your third guy or your fourth guy, if you have a matchup that you like, then that’s where you can get them. Your other guys have to make plays when given opportunities.” Last year in the Super Bowl, that was Corey Clement for the Eagles. And it’s why when I asked Nagy for an X factor for the Rams, he said he’d take Robert Woods and Gerald Everett, guys who’ll get less attention and may draw the kinds of matchups Nagy referenced. Then, I asked for the Patriots’ X factor, and similar logic applied.Redskins expect Alex Smith to miss 2019 season - Hogs HavenDan Snyder needs a spark and that could come from signing/trading for a Joe Flacco http://www.philadelphiaeaglesteamonlines.com/derek-barnett-jersey , Ryan Tannehill, or Nick Foles kind of veteran. They could also trade up in the draft to get one of the top QBs this year, maybe another Heisman winner. Either option is going to cost a lot in draft capital, and potentially salary cap if they go for another pricey veteran band aid.Why The NFL Can’t Rely On Defense - FiveThirtyEightIn an NFL season marked by historic offensive production and a championship round that was conspicuously absent a top-10 defense, aficionados of low-scoring rock fights, filled with punts and field goals, have been left disappointed. The best defensive teams to make the playoffs were eliminated early in the tournament, with the Bears, Ravens and Texans all losing in the wild-card round. A week later, Joey Bosa and the emerging Chargers defense were dismantled by the Patriots, and the Cowboys — perhaps the best defensive team left in the divisional round based on their end-of-season play — lost to the Rams. Extracting the strong defensive teams with relatively weak offenses led to historically exciting playoff football, producing two overtime games in the championship round for the first time in NFL history. Now we have a Patriots and Rams Super Bowl pitting perhaps the greatest QB of all time in Tom Brady against the hottest young offensive mind in the league in Sean McVay. We shouldn’t be surprised that great offensive teams have made it this far. Teams are more reliably good — and bad — from game to game and year to year on offense than on defense. Individual defenders often have wild swings in performance from season to season, and defensive units forecast to be dominant often end up being merely average. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense took them as far as the AFC championship a year ago, but that same defense led them to five wins this season. Meanwhile, performance on offense is generally easier to forecast, making investments on that side of the ball more reliable.Jason Witten broke the Pro Bowl trophy in half, a fitting end to his awful year at ESPN - SB NationJason Witten just can’t catch a break at his new job. The longtime Dallas Cowboys tight end took over as the Monday Night Football color commentator for ESPN in 2018 and found out it isn’t nearly as easy as Tony Romo makes it sound. The Philadelphia Eagles made some changes to the practice squad on Thursday morning but the team isn’t done tweaking things just yet. NFL agent Brett Tessler recently tweeted that his client Josh Andrews will be returning to Philly next week.Andrews originally joined the Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Oregon State following the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent his rookie season on the practice squad before then making the 53-man roster in both 2015 and 2016. Andrews spent the 2017 season back on the practice squad before leaving the Eagles to sign a futures contract with the Minnesota Vikings one week after Philadelphia’s Super Bowl win. It was a little curious to see Andrews leave Philly since practice squad players usually just sign futures/reserve deals with the team they finished the year on. Perhaps former Eagles quarterback coach and current Vikings offensive coordinator John DeFilippo convinced Andrews he’d have a better opportunity at making the team in Minnesota.Unfortunately for Andrews Philadelphia Eagles Hats , that didn’t end up being the case. He was waived with an injury settlement after hurting his ankle in the preseason. Andrews’ return could be bad news for current Eagles practice squad member Jon Toth. Andrews is a guard/center type and Toth only really plays at center. It’s interesting that Andrews’ agent noted his client will be back on the 53-man roster soon. Why would the Eagles need to add another center/guard when they already seemingly have enough bodies there? One explanation could be that the Eagles plan to trade or cut Chance Warmack, who has been a healthy scratch for the first two games. It’s pretty silly the Eagles are carrying his $2.03 million cap number just so he can be inactive on game day. It’s worth noting that trading Warmack would free up $1.66 million. Maybe the Eagles can move him in exchange for some fringe wide receiver. In addition to bringing Andrews back, the Eagles worked out four free agent guards earlier this week. It clearly seems like there’s another shoe to drop at that position.D.J. Alexander: 6 things to know about the Eagles’ new special teams ace The Philadelphia Eagles made a successful waiver wire claim earlier this week when they were awarded linebacker D.J. Alexander. In order to better get know the Eagles’ new special teams ace, I reached out to SB Nation writers from his former two teams: the Chiefs and the Seahawks. Thanks to Arrowhead Pride and Field Gulls for the insight they provided. CHIEFS PERSPECTIVE(Answers by Pete Sweeney)1 - Can you sum up Alexander’s Chiefs career?John Dorsey and the Kansas City Chiefs selected DJ Alexander with a compensatory pick in the fifth round of the 2015 draft, with the idea that Alexander could play special teams and perhaps develop into a good inside linebacker (The Chiefs have done this with a number of rookies--Daniel Sorensen, Albert Wilson and Ben Niemann all come to mind). Part one of the idea hit Philadelphia Eagles Hoodie , and Alexander actually made a Pro Bowl as a special-teamer, replacing Matt Slater when the Patriots made the Super Bowl in the 2016-17 playoffs. Alexander finished his Chiefs career with 701 snaps on special teams but only 57 defensive snaps.2 - Why did the Chiefs trade Alexander last year? The Chiefs traded Alexander in what I figured to be a chance-of-scenery move. It hadn’t worked out in Seattle for LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, the return for Alexander. John Dorsey must have liked Pierre-Louis’ ceiling a bit better. On a side note, Pierre-Louis is no longer a Chief.3 - What are Alexander’s strengths and weaknesses?Alexander’s strengths as a Chief were speed and explosiveness to go along with his willingness to play on all of the Chiefs’ special teams units. For whatever reason, Alexander could never carve out a role as an inside linebacker despite the age and decline of Derrick Johnson and the revolving door next to him. A quick glance at his Seattle 2017 snap counts tell me more of the same story. For what its worth, Doug Pederson and Eagles defensive quality/assistant secondary coach Dino Vasso were on the Chiefs staff that selected Alexander.4 - Anything to know about Alexander off the field?Despite his struggles making a name on defense Customized Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys , Alexander showed good character during his time in Kansas City. Speaking with him as a reporter, Alexander was always respectful.SEAHAWKS PERSPECTIVE(Answers by Alistair Corp and Mookie Alexander [no relation], respectively)5 - What can you tell me about Alexander’s Seahawks career? The Seahawks traded for him for his value on special teams. He was coming off a Pro Bowl season on ST; when they acquired him, Pete Carroll called him ‘a ridiculous special teams player.’ Brock Coyle had left in FA, and he was a big part of that unit. Since Bobby Wagner was drafted in 2012, the backup MLB has been a key teamer www.eaglesauthorizedshops.com , first with Heath Farewell, and Brock Coyle after him. They signed Terence Garvin, another good special teamer, in FA, but he was an OLB. Alexander figured to be the next in that line of reserve MLB/ST.We really only saw him on special teams, I think he played less than 20 snaps on defense all year. Not that ‘backers generally stand out on coverage units Philadelphia Eagles Womens T-Shirt , since they’re kind of restricted to the middle of the field and don’t make the flashy plays, but we didn’t see enough to give specific strengths or weaknesses. At the risk of repeating the same thing over and over, his strength really is special teams. He’ll play on every unit and be reliable, he isn’t going to abandon his lane or cheat inside/out.6 - As an expert on Alexanders, what should I know about this one?DJ Alexander’s Seahawks career wasn’t memorable in any way. Seattle traded for him (sending Kevin Pierre-Louis to the Chiefs) for linebacker depth and to help with Special Teams. At the time of the trade he was a year removed from being a Special Teams Pro Bowler. Really his strengths are supposed to be tackling abilities in kick and punt coverage, and he also had a punt block last year against the Giants. Can’t really comment on his weaknesses seeing as he only had 20 defensive snaps last year Philadelphia Eagles Hats , so his actual abilities at linebacker are a complete unknown to me. The Eagles are known for great ST, so Alexander should be a good fit there if he’s brought over specifically for that. (Click here to watch Alexander block a punt against the Raiders in 2016.)
A few years ago DeAndre Hopkins Jersey , I moved out to the desert to cove illegal OHV routes and build trails, sleep outside, backpack every ten days, read and write and never have to look at a screen again. It was all very beautiful. I was trying to decide between starting again somewhere else with and make another set of friends, in Alaska, or the northwest, or anywhere that would take me to do similar work. Yet I was scared of time and being left behind. I got a decent gig and thought I would give it another try. The gig got better. I’m still here. Yet, I miss it. I miss it all the time. I miss the winter desert sun Authentic Kevin Johnson Jersey , the way all the snakes come seeping out of the ground in the spring time, the unbound infinity of the landscape, cutting my hands on rocks, eating beans for every meal, driving a big mean 4x4 truck all over everything, walking and reading, sleeping outside without a tent every night; without anything blocking my subconsciousness, backpacking twice a month, and feeling everything. I’m dying. I haven’t seen the stars in years. A year ago I was online Youth Lamar Miller Jersey , and by online, I mean I was scrolling around on Twitter. Something came up for Desert Oracle. It’s a quarterly publication written composed by Ken Layne who puts together stories regarding the Mojave, and the desert in general. Damn that looks cool. I forgot to buy each issue and the publication fell out of my mind. Then, last week, I was online again, and by online, I mean I was scrolling on Twitter. The Desert Oracle came up again. This time it was a podcast. It’s spectacular. The episode starts with some campfire guitar. It opens the door for a deep gruff man voice. The man talks about sp00ky things that happen in the desert, personal tales of his, and even has some audio from late night desert walks. The crunching of gravel. The baying of coyotes. Stories about the places I miss. Stories about the things I miss doing. A few weeks ago I got the itch to go back. This podcast has turned these uncomfortable patches into open and leaking sores. I’ll get a taste of it again in two weeks to go hike the Outer Mountain Loop by myself. To finally read a book again http://www.texansauthorizedshops.com/authentic-nick-martin-jersey , see the stars again, stay off my phone again, sleep outside again, and spend an entire day walking again. Check the podcast out. It’s here. Check out the quarterly. It’s here. I’m waiting for every copy that I recently bought. Anyways, that’s all I got.
